beany as long as you take it easy dont rush ..deff dont do it while drinking ...and practise a few times before you actually place the bet ...and dont place a bet before you are 100% sure of what you are doing you will be fine ..

now i know that probably sounds scary and in a way it is meant to ...but not to put you off ..go for it it is easy quick money and fun ...just be careful ....practise practise practise before you place the first bet and any questions they have the thread on GIOL that is very helpful ...

i have to admit i enjoyed it when i did it ...should reall;y get back into it to be honest ...quick easy money ...if you dont mess up ...

Hmmm, IF you don't mess up. That's the part that worries me. Numbers and me have never been the best of friends - as my sig testifies...Still, nothing ventured and all that

There seems to be a lot of people who have done it and like you say its easy money so why do so many people stop

    DTxx

i have asked myself this question many a time ...i have had friends and people i know saying they are really skint and i have explained it to them even offering to help with their first bet etc but not one has tried it ...i sometimes wonder if it is because of our conditioning ...we are kinda brought up to believe that gambling is bad (and it can be if not done right) and when you mention mbing people think it is gambling ...trying to explain it isnt can be just like peeing in the wind ....also we are taught that if something seems to good to be true then it usually is ...and that is also the truth to a certain extent ...mbing is not to be taken lightly ...it is not to be fooled around with ...it is merley a tool like any other that some choose to use to help themselves in whatever way they see fit ..alot of people however choose not to use the tool ...for whatever reason

The people on the newbie thread on the GIOL board are really very happy to talk you through your questions. they are very honest too, so if they think you need to read the info again, that is what they will tell you to do - the last thing they want is for lots of people to mess up.

Don't do it when tired or in a hurry......check, check and check again, and don't have a teenage son trying to talk to you about some football boots he wants you to buy while you are concentrating

this is the bit you have to be careful and not rush ...use the matcher tools correctly and you will be fine ..you have no adding up to do ...merley putting the figures in in the right place the program does all the calculating for you ...you just have to remember to put them in the right place and add any percentage for bf or wherever (usually5%)

As for "why do we stop" it is because once you have done all the easy offers, it becomes more time consuming and fiddly to do some of the other offers which puts people off getting back into it. It is like anything really - you do the easy ones first then have to decide whether the time/effort reward is worth doing the later ones.

And the answer is "yes it is worth doing" but it is a case of getting your head together to do them and having enough of a ready float available to do them because most of the later ones are SNR so you need a bigger float in betfair.....and of course, by then we have already allocated the money for something else so never have the big float available to get back into it!
