Thanks guys - I'm sure (hoping here, ahem!!) totals not as big as I think as I've been working hard at getting it down for 2 years now - before I found this site even - but this site has spurred me on when it would have been easy to go back to old habits and this thread in particular has inspired me.

I will chase up my totals before I go back to work in September - can't hide my head in sand any longer - but couldn't have coped with knowing full extent of everything at the time.

Can't believe how much you have earned doing dooyoo - I am truly impressed - how many crowns - surely you deserve a title wearing all those crowns? Your Dooyooness. Lady Hypno ????? lol

Only 17 crowns.......I wish I had more because they pay quite nicely!

It is more a case of steadily writing one or two reviews each and every day.....it soon adds up. I've had a couple of weeks where I have written nothing, but generally speaking, it is nice and steady for me (although this weekend I have had "writers block" because my cold is making my head fuzzy :o

  • Hi Hypno. I remember your horribly huge totals days and you never having enough money. I used to feel so bad for you but wow how the days have changed. I Just had a look at your totals and they are amazing. My debt has only gone down by a couple of thousand and I was never at the stage where I didn't have enough to pay everyone ( maybe temporarily but not long term) but I really think the problems I have had recently with a big drop in my income is making me see the light. I still cant take on another job due to tax credits etc but I am promising myself that I am going to do every survey and get tore right into dooyoo. Well done you. I expect a big party when you are debt free :T

Milann, sometimes we need to reach the bottom before we can push off and climb back out again......I remember very well the time that I realised that I could go no further down - there was nowhere left for me to go except up!

Hypno, I love that phrasing, I never thought of it as being *exactly* like swimming, but of course it is - thank you!
Hope the hosp appt goes well......perhaps once it is out of the way you can write down exactly what you owe, and take the next step

Ditto for me, Milann, sounds like you're very thoughtful at the mo because of it all.

Exactly, KC, when you get to the bottom, the push you can give yourself gives you much more momentum than if you just tried to turn around half way down!

Sometimes it is like swimming through treacle, or jelly though :o

You can put it to them as a suggestion. If you look on your account page, under your profile picture there is a green bar that says "communication centre" or something - under that it says "messages" then "suggestions" and you can put it to them......

It takes a while sometimes for them to get it loaded, but they will let you know by email when they have done it so you can review it.

Until then, type it up in word while it is still fresh in your mind, then save it ready to upload when the suggestion has been approved!

    Hi Hypno and gang.

Hypno - I've found you on Doo Yoo. You really do write well (sorry if that sounds condescending - it's not meant to be). It does put my few efforts to shame. I've added you as a friend - hope that's ok (I'm Ducky78!)

Walshy - sometimes a new contract is actually a good thing (and you've got a whizzy phone that'll keep you entertained!). I'm looking forward to my upgrade in 2 months time. Have started to research.

I really need take control of the finances again - I have taken my eye off the ball (so many things to juggle at the moment!). I find writing everything down is the only way so before I go to bed I am going to find my notebooks (one for my budget, my spending diary, my wedding planning book, my weightwatchers log and my proper diary) into my bag. Thankfully it's a big one.

Ooh - I also managed to sell something for £16 on ebay - I've never sold anything more that a few pounds. :T It was something I thought would only for a £1. I'm quite pleased with myself. I've relisted the things I haven't sold and will add 10 new things this week. I've just transferred the money out of Paypal along with the other earnings - that's £70! Now I need to work out if I can chuck that at the debt or if I need it for other expenditure:o.

Off to make my lunch for tomorrow.
