Good luck with all mentioned.
I don't understand how anyone could criticise you though, your amazing and your right your children work very hard to do what they want too.Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
GLGLGL!!!! BTW, I don't think anyone who reads the whole story would ever think your kids were spoilt. We all want the best for our children and while I can afford school trips and sports my DS will not go without although he is aware that we might need to sell his old kit and that ebay is our friend but I don't think that's a bad thing.Mortgage OP 2025 £6000/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

lilmissmup - I get plenty of criticism, believe me! It comes with the territory I suppose
sometimes I am my own worst critic, though, as we all are - beating ourselves up over not doing more....or not doing less.....or whatever!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Feel tired just reading that lot !!! :rotfl:
Good luck on the next stage of the journey. :j
I've knitted 5 inches of a shopping bag made from strips of old carrier bags while you've written all the above :eek:0 -
You are amazing and are a true credit to your family and the MSE family. please do not let anyone put guilt trips on how you spend your money. As I read through your entries I can clearly see that you prioritise and we all need something in our lives or else we would just be on the hamster wheel just fulfiling the most basic of survival needs where is the fun in that. I am a true believer in creating some kind of balance in life and like many others I have additonal jobs alongside my main job but I make time for other things that bring my joy. So no guilt tripping and continue with your fabulous diary entries and DFW nessmisselvis proud and in motion - dealing with her debts step by step

Too many of my children's peers have everything handed to them on a plate - having generous allowances, saying that it is not worth doing a paper round on a Sunday "for only a fiver" etc- "only a fiver" - for 45 mins work? That is not a bad rate!! It takes two days solid to earn "only a fiver" on slicethepie :rotfl:
Or my friends who say "I'm not selling it on ebay for that little - I'd rather give it away".......
I can understand "I can't be bothered to list" or "I can't fit in the time for a car boot sale" or "I'd like to give it to charity rather than donate cash" or whatever....but.......to say "it is worth more than I would get, so I won't bother".....don't get that one!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. wow! Loads of people posting!! Thank you - and remember, that it is only because of the support here that I have made this progress.....without you lot, I would be drowning under final demands.....not to mention the ironing pile!
Talking of which, I need to do half an hour in my "other job" and iron the students' clothes
