    Hi pippajo!

I think one of the key things for anyone starting out on dooyoo is to rate lots of other people's stuff - spend a few minutes clicking and reading other reviews, and they will soon get to know you and will be more likely to return the favour and click back.

Sadly, dooyoo has seen a large influx of newbies that have posted lots of reviews but not rated anyone. So as a result, a lot of the established members are not automatically reading reviews from anyone with the "new member" banner on their profile.

It does pick up though, and some of my first reviews only got a handful of rates - so stick with it, keep rating, and you will get rated back, whether they are people in your "circle of friends" or not!

    See you over there!

    Hi Hypno!
I've been reading your thread and am very impressed (not to mention inspired) with your tenacity and debt-busting skills!:T
I feel quite ashamed as my debt is less than yours and my earnings more, so you'd made me realise I need to work much harder :o.
You've inspired me to join Dooyoo - is your user name the same as here? I'll look out for you.

Thanks for sharing your story - all the best with the rest of the journey x

Corned beef hash - I don't bake potatoes, but often just use leftovers from the previous day.

This reminds me of the time my elder brother (a truly woeful cook) managed to burn corned beef hash almost irreparably onto a £60 Le Creuset cast iron pan that my parents had had for ten years! My Dad was furious :D

The really weird thing was that the freezer was jam packed full of microwaveable stuff and he hardly ever cooks..

macgirl - yes, the same user name......I was suffering from a lack of name inspiration when I signed up to dooyoo! See you over there!

Edinburger - I once burnt custard in my (only) le creuset saucepan. I haven't seen the pan for years, which indicates that I may have never been able to clean it properly, hid it in the garage, and eventually threw it out :o (all about 15 years ago, I hasten to add - nowadays I would do wonderful things with stardrops and get it clean!!)

Because it wants to teach any random wasps that may be nearby a lesson

So it can get somewhere you don't realise until you get on the bus and people are laughing at you - the back of my neck in my case! :rotfl: :o

Oh and so you can step in a wee drip small enough not to notice and traipse it all over the the nearest uncovered floor!
