It is still hot and humid here, but I am sure we will get a storm at some point.

OH is on his way back here this morning - he was worried he might lose his position as the family's ten pin bowling champ if he didn't turn up to defend his crown.

Truth is, that even on his death bed, he would score more points than the rest of us put together......we really are not that good.....but it is a question of male pride I think!!

It will be nice to have him back, though, even though we all go home tomorrow :rolleyes:

:j:jThat OH is on his way back:j my OH thrashes us too at bowling I remember there is a place in riverside to play where you can put the bumper up and down it was down for him and up for us and we still lost:D

I have to console myself that anything that I can outdo him on any ski slope! (hence the reason he doesn't come skiing with us any more!).

Riverside bowling alley has been closed for several years - a problem with the floor of the adjoining nightclub, and many legal battles ensue - a shame really, because it is ideally located, and hopefully one day it will reopen.

love ten pin bowling,,,,no one will play with me any more....
also the leg dont really like it....but its worth the pain cus i have a good chance of wining....most times,,
one of the few sports i can still do,,,

Yes the floating restaurant is still there - has been through several changes of ownership/theme over the last 10 years. I last visited it about 5 years ago, so couldn't tell you what it is like now!
