DS's badminton tournament was cancelled - but they forgot to tell those that had entered  So DS got a refund of double his money AND a free court booking for a game of badminton tomorrow afternoon, so he wasn't too upset

I've not spoken to OH today - I don't want to ring him because I think he will be sleeping on and off for most of the day. When he wakes he will give me a call.

Done another dooyoo review - "debt help in general" - I could have gone on for pages and pages and pages

hope you have a great holiday and your OH recovers quickly

The 5* accommodation in Scotland was lovely - a 2 bed cottage/town house with luxury furnishing complete with dishwasher, washing machine etc, 2 bathrooms! Lovely! Swimming pool was nice - DD swam a length on her back for the first time - obviously the pool was relatively small but still really pleased - she is only 6! We got a free Sunday lunch out of it too probably worth nearly a £100 !

Managed not to sign up for timeshare altho I think their deal was quite good. Glad we didn't as someone else who was there managed to get £1K knocked off the price (but still didn't sign up) - I would have been pig sick if we paid full price. We met up with a family there that we know who are members (we didn't know beforehand they were going) they reckon we will be invited again or they can refer us and get £100! So if we get debt free may go back there sometime!

We are off on another free week's holiday in Cornwall at the end of August - also 5* a result of a survey I did due to MSE!! Really pleased with that...!

Just wanted to pop along and say Hello, 71 pages, and I have not read any of them!! Sorry. Been so busy getting myself sorted out, and back on track! I will have a read a bit later. I know it will be a long read!

    Afternoon!

Well, OH is having another night at home. Hopefully he will be back in the fold tomorrow.

We have reached our budget :o So it is a case now of trying to limit the excess.......tomorrow's activities are all booked and paid for, so it is only food really......and the occasional coffee......;)

Ah well, we have not done too badly - it always was going to be a tight budget to stick to......story of my life :rotfl:

I am starting a new £20 challenge on Monday - all are welcome to join in -see if we can all beat our previous best

Glad to see you're relaxing & taking it easy on holiday Hypno - although your relaxing seems to have a different definition to mine

Seriously though - glad you're enjoying the break & sorry to read about the better half not being well - but it's amazing how often when you go on holiday & try to relax that this happens - must be the lack of adrenalin.

Have a good rest of the hols
