Have a great holiday, Hypno - just need to get the student off now, and you're **away***. Like Verbatim said, I was wondering about the advice from the traffic warden. Any redress there either?2023: the year I get to buy a car0

It was a traffic cop we took advice from, who happens to work at the same station as the cop who issued me my ticket yesterday
Ah well, I've moved on from it now
so, back at home after day one of the hols - OH has a nasty cold. We refuse to consider that it might be swine flu - it's just a cold, but he feels pretty bleugh with it, and DS has stood on a wasps nest and been stung several times
so, I think that being at home is the best place for me :rotfl:, and I am going out for dinner this evening......so even better :T
I will be back with them tomorrow by which time hopefully they will be dosed up and feeling better.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Blimey it is August already  Where is the time going
Well, I had a lovely meal last night - 2 of my old colleagues at my previous firm retired yesterday, so I was invited for a delish farewell meal. Sadly, I could not take advantage of their generosity as far as the alcohol went (boy do they like to drink, and drink some very very decent stuff) because I could not take the risk of being over the limit for driving this morning.....knowing my luck I would be stopped.
So I was on soft drinks last night, but still enjoyed a fantastic (and free) meal, with a lot of humour and some excellent company.
Pooky, I warn you that the bug is long lasting - you might think you can shake it off......but it takes hold and sets in :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. The nice people at centerparcs provide free wifi access in the villas
£10 from quidco received today, so that has been transferred to the debt pot.
The monthly Egg loan payment has also been made - now down to £1662.....very nearly there!
