I think Hupno with time on her hands supposedly enjoying R&R is a dangerous thing she will have so many cunning plans when she gets back that the rest of us will all have to up our game to remain on the same planet debtwise
Just heard it is 45 degrees in Lanzarote
For what its worth my five pennyworth is to save up and pay off Barclays I dont want to pay one more penny interest than I have to the !!!!!! banks they have had far too much money off me in the past I'm sure if you set your mind to it you would not spend it on anything else you are too determined for that:T
Another thought couldn't you use the money that you are saving up for Barclays as your float for MB and earn far more money than you would putting it in a savings account?

I would def try and use whatever money I was saving to try and "earn" a bit more from it - after all, savings accounts are paying next to nothing at the mo.
I am so tired today it is unbelievable - even fell asleep while I was watching DS and OH play badminton
This doing nothing lark is a bit exhausting :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Relaxing has done this and i reckon you need it:p...now step away from the computer:D:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -

I find that everytime we break up for the school holidays think thats why I always end up ill !!!
Blisters seem so to all be scabbing over so hopefully I will be able to go back to work in the middle of next week.
enjoy your week away :j:j0 -
Shows you must need the rest - listen to your body and let it sleep zzzzzzzzzzz
We've had MIL in panic mode as she had letter from what she still calls her Midland account and some low life has got hold of her cards - no idea where from - and the current balance they have fraudulently spent is £2000 and rising. MIL is 88 and got herself in a real stew - we were worried that because she hadn't reported them lost or informed the police the insurance would not pay - but they seem ok about it all. MIL pays for everything except her bills with cash and either pays bills through bank or with cheques - which is why she has a card as a guarantee - I've asked her to ask for a cheque guarantee card only to prevent this happening again - AAARRRGGGHHHHH - I'm rambling sorry!!!!
Enjoy your break and make the most of all the amenities - think of all the dooyoo oportunities - I'm trying to do at least 4 a week during August - not your standard I know Hypno - but every little helps!!
MilannJanuary spends - £587.580 -
surfbabe, I am glad that you are feeling better.....don't try and do too much too soon though.
milann - sorry to read that about mil and the hassle that you are all getting - I hope she/you gets it sorted soon and she can stop worrying.
Well, we managed to just stay within budget here yesterday - I have been saving "spending money" for this holiday which we have taken out of the bank in cash, so we can see easily how we are doing. It is not a big budget so we still need to be very careful, and it is worrying how quickly another couple of teas/coffees eat into it.
It will be interesting to know how close we get to budget at the end of the week.
Hope you all have a good day xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hope you are treating yourselves to Sunday lunch out, Hypno, no-one would blame you for doing that on your holiday! You can always exist on bread and dripping the rest of the week......One life - your life - live it!0

Do you have the odd cuppa tea in your rooms, Hypno? Or are you out the whole time?
Hope you're enjoying it - love the picture of you snoozing away....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
