This might sound daft but can you own the number but not have it on your car? and just hang on for now but get a bog standard number to put on the car or is that pricey?

I can keep the number I have if I re-space it, so that is what I will do until such time as I decide to sell it. If we weren't in a recession, I would probably sell it now, but I shall hold out until things pick up again and will then look to see how much it is worth. In the meantime, it can be sorted without too much of a problem.

And they give me 28 days to pay the fine, so I don't even have to ruin my NSD today for it :rotfl:

Heck - would think police would have better things to do with their time than quibbling about spacing on number plates! Isn't there much crime where you live?

Yes, the laptop comes with me - need to check online banking everyday and make sure nothing goes awry.....need to do scratchcards.....need to write reviews......need to write scripts.....

I am taking my laptop too when we go away on Monday after all I have to check out the wifi we have installed for guests is working OK - thats my excuse anyway :D

Glad you can see the bright side but what a pain. It does seem such a pointless thing for them to stop you. I have no problems with them stopping peeps for actual driving offensives or unsafe vehicles but number plate :mad: :mad:

Morning guys - it is the start of our holiday.....sort of!

Our student is still here until tomorrow, so I will be home again tonight and will then go back to holiday tomorrow.

Off to do banking and scratchcards etc.....hope you all have a good day x

morning Hypno-hope you have a lovely holiday re the licence plate thing-surely the people who made it are under a legal obligation to make sure that its made so people can use it on the road, i wonder if you have any redress with them?
