We got a tonne of gravel for £40 delivered from the local Build Centre - loads cheaper than buying in B&Q etc. If you go in to enquire about windows, doors, bricks etc, and then just happen to order a tonne of gravel before going away to decide on your final order for the other stuff you need, they might give a bit of a discount ;). My bad.

Love the plan for August, good luck!

We have loads of quarries in our area, so I think it will be a case of ringing around for the best deal.......although the windows idea sounds good. Except that I really DO need windows, so would probably come away having signed up for £5000 of windows, but forgetting about the gravel in the excitement of it all :o

Thanks pandapaws. How much space does a tonne of gravel cover?

How have any of you managed to garden today? - It has pickled down here virtually ALL day - I worked helping out with a couple of kids today and should have been going to Tatton Park - looking round farm at baby pigs, cows and sheep (any of Shauns relatives there I wonder??) but ended up taking them on a train ride to Manchester Science Museum instead - it was heaving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Going out with DS somewhere tomorrow and severe weather warning gone out for flash floods and high winds - why does it always wait until holidays?????

Must be a great feeling to see the totals coming down Hypno - it sounds like you've done a lot of determined work to get them down and every little REALLY does help.

Just dropping in to say :hello: - have been away for what seems a lifetime but I think is actually a few months. Took some finding though - when did the diaries get their own sub-board?!

Will be spending the next few days trying to catch up with everyone!

    Welcome back Mizmir...
Gosh you lot sound so busy with your gardens...I just have a load of rubbish to clear from mine but it will need a van so it makes sense to wait until the plastering is done as their will be rubble from that and a bit of weeding.
Like the idea of a room a month..seems more manageable.
Hope everyone who is ill gets better soon.
