Head elf checking in ....... Just to make sure that you are all being nice ? :santa2:

:xmassign: and welcome to all new posters that have joined our little Christmas village. Grab a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie...

Well here in the midlands ( Im staying with a friend you see :D) its been week 1 of the school holiday. I decided to let all mums adjust to having their little angels at home with them. But now ive decided that you all all coping so well, that i might offer up a little :

Mums school holiday challenge : :j

Your challenge from now until Monday 3rd of August is to write a list of all school uniform and equipment that your little one needs. Then tick off the things you have already bought, or are salvaging from last year..
The aim is to be as ready as you can be ( before it all sells out in the shops ;) ) You dont have to have all your school stuff bought by Monday.. Just have a clear list of what you need.
If you are able to salvage school shoes or trainers, make sure they are cleaned and put somewhere that you can find them ;)

As your reward : since this was popular,, arrange 30 minutes 'you' time... Not always easy i know. But a bubble bath or an extra half an hour in bed reading your favorite book.... If you cant manage that treat yourself to your favorite chocolate bar :D

    None mums school holiday challenge:

Well i couldnt leave you out, so you are welcome to participate in the reward ;)

See i am a nice elf :rotfl:

    Spreadsheet alert !!!!!!!!

Dont forget that its coming up to 1st August :eek:

For all people keeping totals and lists on our sister thread

Sarah - Ooooooooh where did you get the sonic screwdrivers and beer can jigsaws?

    QUOTE]

The Sonic Screwdriver & Diary Sets were in Tescos, a lot of stuff had been moved and reduced in mine as they are clearing a big section off ready for school uniforms, and the Beer can jigsaws were in home bargins.

The uniform challenge sounds like a good one for me as last year I left it til too late and their were no shoes left anywhere - ended up spending a fortune in clanks as they were the only ones left. Will get on with that...

right so where's the cheapest place to buy match boxes in bulk - I have to do the advent calender - love that one - may do a red/green one for daughter or a pink one with snowflakes - love the style of the one on the photo though - may do that one for myself :-)

These are great craft links irishgirl62 Thankyou so much for sharing with us :xmassmile

The advent calendar looks abit fiddly, but deffinately doable. If you didnt want to cover the matchboxes in paper you could maybe paint them or even colour them in ;)

The christmas planner includes all downloads to make the pages a fantastic idea that envolves making an area for receipts.

Ive started making a planner this year thats a project book, as soon as ive finished i will pop some piccies on here for you to all see.
