thanks for the planners sarah. I had to smile at the Martha Stwewart one - 1st week of December: Shop for gifts; start making handmade gifts :D
    that's a bit late isn't it:rotfl:
hope you enjoy the show tonight. is it your ds's first one. it is so lovely seeing them on stage and each time is as great as the first. my ds1 is doing a show tomorrow but he is doing the lighting this time which will be strange!

mum2one I think the website for NASA is on the thrifty blog

Yes it was his first show, it was a bit of a mix from the whole drama school, a bit of singing dancing and acting, the show was put on for charity so it was really nice seeing him there. Managed to get 2 more xmas pressies at the show though 2 dvd's of it for Nana and grandma (not very MSE price wise but all profits went to charity so I don't mind at all)

Hope you enjoy your sons show, I bet it will be great, knowing your son is doing such an important job with the lights.

I know what you mean about the Martha Stewart planner, shes either super super organised (and loaded) to be able to start shopping then or only has one person to buy for, I'd be so stressed out I think I will just use a few of the tips rather than follow the planner LOL

I ordered a few of them skin flint wallets - cheap as chips...I also ordered the stone salt and pepper set that was a pound too - odd present for my husband but he loves his white kitchen stuff - so I know he'll really like them. I also got the counting set for over the summer.

Off to the farm today so dd will be exhausted tonight and off to bed on time so I'm planning on sorting and tidying all my craft stash and in particular putting all christmas stuff into one drawer as I want to make a start on my tags for peoples presents.

    morning all.
Been up for a few hours sorting through lists etc, just on ebay now buying a couple of bits and bobs.
Did have something I meant to say or maybe ask but can't remember.

There are a couple of books on halfcost I want, but not enough things to justify the postage costs lol... maybe come friday there'll be something exciting to add

pinklipgloss - thanks - might give that idea a go. Want to make the book as soft as possible so its a bit like a 'rag book'.

Was going into town today to see whats on offer in the charity shops (determined to go second hand or hand made again this year) but weather looks a bit dodgy so giving that a miss.
Judging by the state of my spare room I must get birthdays out of the way then I'll know what I'm left with
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
