thanks, that's what I thought about certificates.
Have got up to my great grandfather on my dad's paternal side and my gran (dad's mum) is doing her side now which she says can go further back than that.
Am trying to get a hold of my step grandparents' address so that I can try for their side as I know very little about them.0 -
There are a lot of family tree sites that are free and full of people who are willing to find out info for you.
Rootschat is one, www.familytreeforum.com and
www.ancestryaid.co.uk
There are others I'm sure but I've had a lot of friendly help from the ones above.
If there's a family history society in the area you're looking into they can be very helpful.
Good luckI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi everyone, welcome to all our lovely new ladies.
I've been writing ideas down of presents I want to do and make this year. Mmmmm! maybe should have started in Dec last year.LOL
I want to do some advent presents - any ideas on adult age presents that would fit in those crimper treat pouches I showed would be great.(men ideas particularly).
I'm also going to do some winter warmer movie night in christmas eve hampers. I also have a list of things to make. Oh! I think that means I'm getting organised:j Thanks ladies for keeping me on my toes:T0 -

It really depends, I never think I get my dd enough as last yr she didnt need anything big, so her main was a X-factor guitar, but as I was getting bits here, bits there, added up.
Maybe set a budget of £50. But dont beat urself up if you feel thats not enough as theres one thing that finally sunk in (nearly 7 years later), dont forget that ur the ones who buy everything throughout the year.
For dds bday, she'll be 7, admitaddly shes haveing a laptop, parents have gone half, got a really gd deal, and put some money towards it from our supermarket tin (if we hand any money off vouchers at the checkout, say we had £10 of vouchers, when we get home we put £10 in a tin), course I felt quilty thats shes only got one present....... like the devil and the angel on my shoulder.... angel saying thats enough, the devil going shes only got 1 present.
So we (mum, dad, me and Bailey!!), said she could have couple presents
£20 worth off mum + dad - hit Argos sale leaflet got Playboy stuff
£20 off me - again Argos sale - more Playboy
Bailey (who we dont get yet!!) hes got a £5 allowance.
xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
