Morning Everyone, hope everyone is enjoying the weekend so far, my LO is still poorly, he has got up this morning and looks like hes covered in little red dots  hoping its just cos hes really warm and not something more sinister, I've done the glass test and he's ok on that front, poor little thing always seems to get poorly at this time of year.
Well have got to go o argos today (dreading it as it will be packed) and pick up a new house phone as ours is driving us mad, its cordless and just eats battery's and cuts out halfway through calls:mad: After that going to go to Home bargins with my mum and get her presents for the kids at her school. Then will have to pick DS1 up from Drama, he is going in dressed as Tom Baker today :rotfl:he looks so groovey lol... They are raising money for children in need, he was walking round all night wearing his outfit and then said I'm going to sleep like tom baker and sat on the chair and stuck his hat over his head:rotfl:
well i better go I've a lump of a puppy trying to get me to play fetch with her keeps dropping the ball on the laptop:rolleyes:
Catch you all later]

Morning all
Sarah ~ I Hope you LO is feeling better soon. Funny we got to go to Argos today as our home phone is doing the same as yours.:wall: I dont think ours are charging properly on their docks.
Mum2One ~ Thanks for all the above info. Think i am going to have a go at the candle one as i have several spare pillar candles that are ok but could do with jazzing up :T
CDSmiler ~ Glad everything is ok with baby. Its good the hospital are being cautious tho. It must be very reassuring for you. I was really worried about everything when i was pregnant incase it affected baby. You have a healthy attitude whereabout i was a nervous wreck. I am not usually like that tho
I am being very naughty and taking my children out of school monday! Not something i make a habit of doing honest but it was the only time really i could get tickets for Santa Grotto at Harrods!:santa2: So we are going on the train into London going to Santa Grottos, then Hamleys and a bit of shopping then tea at Planet Hollywood (using my Tescos vouchers). We are really looking forward to it
Today i am off shopping for few last minute pressies for Christmas and nik naks etc as well as new house phone. Hi Everyone
Cheecky princesses that sounds like a fab day!!!
I ordered my dads pressies off amazon the other day and chose the super saver delivery. 2 of the items were dispatched the same day then when I checked on my order for the rest, it said the delivery estimate was for the 18th - 24th december:eek: I checked again that all the products were/still in stock and they are so I changed the delivery to 1st class and the delivery estimate changed to the 23rd-25th November except for one which was the 7th-12th December. So just a word of warning that Amazon might have the same problems as a few years ago. I couldnt believe the time difference and didnt want to risk them turning up xmas eve or not at all!!!!!!0 -
I ordered some stuff from amazon a few weeks back -super saver delivery -and it came really quickly -did the same when I ordered a dvd a week ago.........thats arrived so thankfully, every is here that should be here.
In face..............apart from the dvd its wrapped :T
I'm now having a go at christmas decorations - cut a heart shape and xmas tree out of felt...........just need to fill them slightly and blanket stitch them to see what they look like before I do any more.
Not sure the colours are quite right......they're a bit bright for the 'primitive' look I was after. Oh well, we'll see.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hello everyone
Went to a craft fair today and was really disappointed with everything that was there. Lots of jewellery but not a lot else really. I wished I lived near some of the fairs you ladies go to. so my plans to buy lots of things rather than making them myself (lazy I know but just not enough hours in the days at the moment0 have gone out of the window so am off to the new Hobbycraft at Hull tomorrow to see if I can buy everything I need to do them myself. I just know there will be lots of stuff just not what I want. Kate :hello:0 -
Had a bit of a shopping spree today to get together a lot more stuff I needed to. Ended up coming home early though, it was just way too warm, stuffy, busy, crowded... I like the whole hussle of Christmas shopping, but not coupled with being too warm and not feeling great.. but did get some stuff I needed toSealed Pot challenge #508

Everyone seems to be getting on really well. Took a trip to our local retail park today for OH to do MY Christmas shopping - Argos had sold out out of the item he had chosen - said it won't be back in stock until mid December! What happens if he doesn't like the other two options and can't get the one he wants??????
DD was discharged by hospital yesterday, said they are really pleased with her progress and if her bacterial bronchitis comes back (which she had from 3 months old) then the doctor will be able to re-refer her. That was great news - now she has a rash which pharmacist said was one thing and NHS direct said is something else, so back to gp again. Will it never end?
On a brighter note, OH bought my main present today - yes I had to choose it and no discount or cashback option as sold out on Next website, but will be worth it. Bought DS main present from my parents which was reduced by £8 in Argos and Mum and Dad's present half price in Argos so pretty happy all round.
Out for dinner tomorrow - Mum & Dad are paying so pretty cheap weekend really!Motto: You gotta be in it to win it!:j
2015 Objective - Pay off credit cards/Overpay mortgage
2015 Wins: Nothing yet, but keeping trying :T0 -
Mum2One - thanks for the concern, all was fine in the end they could find no reason for the bleeding, pain and fainting - did a scan and baby was fine and 20 weeks later she still is! (Only 10 weeks to go!)
A while ago after reading all the stuff on OC about housework and holiday plans I'd got all organised and planned a huge pre-Christmas/pre-Baby attack on the house, which I then rapidly got bored of and it never happened lol
Today, my sister in law took the boys out for the day so I actually did a lot of it, our bedroom previously looked like a bombsite hidden under millions of bags and boxes and a thick layer of mould (no radiator working in that room coupled with huge condensation problem ). I spent about 3 hours on it and now nearly everything has a place, all the stuff that was scattered around has either been tipped or recycled/charity shopped, the windows are clear of mildew, the mould has been cleaned off the walls/windowsil/window frames and the floor (which is now visible) has been vacuumed! :A
I am totally knackered of course (decided to also have family over this afternoon for buffet tea, so also been cooking all day!) but I feel so :j:j now that it's done. There was no way we could fit a baby there the mess it was in and I haven't been able to get landlords over to look at the heating problem (which will need to be sorted before baby arrives in the depths of winter) because I was too embarassed about the state of our room.
All Christmas presents are now in lovely big storage bags that my SIL picked up from a shop in Tumbridge Wells (Jeremy's?) for £3 each, they are really funky looking stawberry patterned and although they are just lined up against the wall they actually look quite nice (and a lot better than a jumble of boxes and carrier bags!).
Christmas food has been packed at the back of my top cupboard so hopefully I won't be tempted by it!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

OH has been in the loft and had a good sort out, he has put all the Xmas decs etc in one place ready to get them down end of the month or when ever he isnt working for a few days.0 -
