Sarah Im loving all your christmas jokes stories and songs!!!!!

I did some more christmas shopping yesterday, I now have my mum, sis, best friend, sil all bought for. I am giving my bro money but I do have his birthday present bought which is 12 days before chrimbo. just need to buy for OH (20kg kettlebell - dont ask:confused: ) dad, gran and mil. I've told most freidns that I wont be getting any pressies this year as I simply cant afford it with my job situation, so for them to also not get me anything. Most have been really understanding and also relieved that I am one less person to buy for and one or two (mainly one) have really taken the hump with me, which just shows that there not really bothered about our friendship and more bothered about the pressies they get christmas they. Aww well you live you learn xXx

(purpled the bit), that is unbelievable, surely they'd be supportive and understand the situation, I know when I had dd I cut back, but same as you, I had one family, that was like ur friends, went in a strop, so I ended up buying just to keep the peace, then the next yr she turned and said, we've got to buy a TV so were not buying xmas presents this yr, but start again next yr, but if you want to carry on buying for us, we won't object! x
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

I was well and truelly gobsmacked by her reaction, out of all my friends I have only bought for my best friend and even then it was only a fiver but I'll tell you the story

Me '' XXXX I'm really sorry but I cant afford to get you a pressie for christmas this year with being out of work''

Friend ''Are you having me on''

Me'' No, im really sorry Im not buying for anyone but family this year becuase I just cant afford it''

Friend '' Well I hope you know your getting nothing off me'' hangs up on me.

Every other friend I have has been so supportive and understanding then she goes and pulls this. Most of my other friends have children so it has been a relief to them to have one less person to buy for.

Some people are just unbelievably selfish and only care about the pressie side of christmas which is all well and good but not the point of the day. This christmas I seriously dont care what I get for christmas I am just thankful that I have had the support of my family and (bar one) friends and you lot on here through the ups and downs and managed to get through this very up and down year in one piece xXx

I'm still appealed at how shallow some people are, maybe in a day or so she'll realise she jumped off the wrong end and apologise, you did the right thing by telling her now rather than leaving it to present swopping.

Don't know if you have signed up to Dooyoo, they pay out in Amazon vouchers, as a new member you can do a maximum 5 reviews a day, (50p a review - £2.50, 7 days £17.50, and everytime someone reads them its 1 1/2p, may take some burden off those that you are buying for.
Hope your friend comes to her senses xx

Don't forget u've got us, I know were in the virtual world, but were all here for you. xx
