I can find Tescos, Toys R Us etc...but even with a map I'm not sure where HB is!
It is in the bit near the Tenpin, just about next door to Nettos. Hope you can find it! I went there for the first time the other week after reading this thread and got loads of stuff, one or two things sneaked in for xmas but also some day to day stuff we needed like toiletries at really good prices, so it's definitely worth seeking out. Good luck!0 -
I'm a list addict too - I also like spreadsheets.
Currently there are three lists open on my desktop and two more in my Recently Used Documents. And today I bought a little notebook for next year's birthday and Christmas presents cause I can't carry my spreadsheet to the shops.
I did a simple spreadsheet a column of the numbers 1 - 100 then a column for ticks so I knew which pages on this thread I had read when I was reading them all - do you think that was a bit over the top - I love spreadsheets:wave: Kate :hello:0 -

i thought i'd let you know about this new website (from the people that do ministry of deals, a site i've had some cracking good deals from!) everything is 95p with 1.95 delivery or free delivery if you order 16 items or more
i managed to get a 5 boring moving related things for less than what i'd have paid for the one item here in my town (and that includes the postage!) however i thought people here might be interested in some of the sections for gifts and stocking stuffers
http://www.95pence.com/
since it's run by the ministry of deals people i feel quite confident in ordering from them, i've always had my items in 3-5 days and they've always worked well and been of good quality. i'll let everyone know how i got on with this order when i receive it... after i've moved and gotten my wee one's birthday out of the way i plan to make a larger order for stocking stuffers!0 -
sarah - don't remind me how close we're getting  panic will start to set in :eek::eek:
Confuzzled -thanks for the link. Not heard of that one before.
Well, today I've covered a little box -just right for little teddy and mini soaps for sons girlfriend -put santa strip of paper round neighbours jars (think I'll put humbugs in them and label them 'bah humbug'........smallest pot will be for reindeer poo for little grandson............just need a piccy of a reindeer.
Now have empty gravy tub so I can start on my friends 'owl'...........think I'll do a sort of paper pattern first before I attack my felt.
Had a box of Baileys truffles from freebie board so might use them for the owl poo.
That'll probably be my lot for today.......lad we care for keeps going awol............think he's done it again.........doesn;t take two hours to walk to the shop for sweets  Had a right week of it:mad:
Nice and peaceful outside so might sit and finish off my book.............savour the silence while I can............lolI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Oh, I've had fun today. I have finally found a spare 10 minutes, mainly because my son is having an extra long nap, so I have started making my Pots of Gold!
I bought some plastic flower pots from B&Q a while ago - 10 for about £1.50. So today I have spray painted them gold, they look so good. Brilliant idea to whoever it was that suggested the flower pots, thank you! I used a metallic gold spray paint from Wilkinsons, cost about £3 ish, and the can is still almost full. Once the flower pots are dried I'll see if they need an extra coat, but at the moment they look fine with one. I still need to spray inside, then I'm done :T
Yesterday I bought a box of 16 Ferrero Rocher from Netto, as well as a bag of Fudge that is in a lovely shiny gold wrapper. Confession time - it was actually the second bag I bought, as I ate the first bag I got last weekWell, I had to check they were good enough, didn't I?! I also got some gold chocolate coins from Tesco, and I'm going to put a scratchcard in each pot too.
Does anyone know of any other sweets that are in a nice shiny gold wrapper? I tried the Tesco own eclairs, but the gold is a bit dull and looked out of place next to the shiny Netto ones (so I had to eat the eclairs too!).
I just need to find some extra gold wrapped sweets then I can start putting it all together. I found some gold cellophane on Ebay so I think I'll buy that now I know the spray painted flower pots will work
On another note, I was at a garden centre today and saw some Yankee candles. I had never heard of them before seeing them mentioned on this forum a few times. I ended up buying 2 little ones - one of them is a Christmasy one and smells gorgeous! I can't wait to have it burning while I wrap presents whilst watching a Christmas filmSo excited now!!!
