Hi Girls!
My Organised Mum stuff arrived yesterday so am just in the process of transferring all my bits and bobs into my shiny new diary! There's a good Xmas section in it so i'm not sure i'm going to need a folder now...gift list page, budget page etc. I might still do one for print outs and stuff.....
Hope everyone is well

Hi there everyone I just had to say hello I have been lurking around this thread and now subscribe to it (phew!) but have not stuck my oar in yet lol!
Just want to say thanks this is a brilliant thread, last year realised I really needed to be organised for Christmas and really save those pennies so this is great. Also got brilliant ideas - of which I have pinched many!
Thanks to whoever posted the link for kids pyjamas too (sorry can't remember who it was). I'm going to do a new year's eve parcel/hamper for us and ds's, as we always have movie night and spend all night on the sofa/camped out on the living room floor. So some new PJs will go in there brilliantly and the prices on that site are great. Going to put in PJs, sweets/snacks, a new DVD, party poppers and a new 'special book' (just this year we have started doing a sort of 'book of us' where we write down things we do over the year - like a journal).
Omg this has turned into a complete epic - sorry - now I've started I just can't stop!!0 -
Hi all,
Like elyphant, I've been lurking for a while now, picking up lots of ideas and getting more and more excited about Christmas.
I've got a lovely notebook I'm using as a Christmas Planner and a spreadsheet listing all the gifts I've bought for family/friends over the last 4 years so I (hopefully) don't duplicate anything this year. I've done my first few bits of Christmas shopping, courtesy of special offers on Play and am looking forward to the Christmas season.
I've defrosted the freezer and had a good sort in my flat to get together some bits and pieces for a car boot.
You have no idea (ok, maybe you do :-)) how nice it is to find a whole group of peeps who are as mad about Christmas as I am.0 -
Welcome to the thread elyphant and erm.
Been busy this morning, managed to get all my decorating stuff I needed from B&Ms so can get really stuck in over the weekend. Got the kids a few bits to keep them occupied too, just hoping the weather stays nice now so they can play in the garden.:D:D:D:D

Hello to all the new folk :j You sound a lot more organised than I'll ever be................:rotfl:
sarah - love the candle poem -judging by my heap of stuff in the spare room everyone's getting a candle of some sort so the poem will do nicely.
Someone mentioned a thread somewhere that was about home made crackers - where it is please ?
While I was away I had a go at mosaics..............lol - on the sea front and meant for children really but it was a lot of fun and I want to do some more now...........:rotfl:
Have to do a search for the little tiles and shapes.
Didn't get a lot while I was away but here goes:
notebook shaped like a shoe -foster daughter has a 'thing' about shoes
2 notebooks to cover with fabric -A5 size
5 shopping list notebooks to cover
linen laundry bag with a washing line and clothes embroidered on it............50p !!! (charity shop find)
Pot of chillies to grow indoors for OH -not xmas pressie -just pressie for him for no reason..............lol
Some pebbles off the beach (I know I shouldn't but I only took a few.................lol) and three pretty ring back folders from discount store.
And that was it !
Lovely to go away - even better to get back:jI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi Mary
I was really pleased finding that poem, as I bought some father christmas candles last year in the sale at tescos so know what to do with them now.
Re the Crackers, someone was asking where to get the stuff to make them for her wedding I found a site (can't remeber it now) that sold the stuff in bulk but if you only want to make a few I got my kits out of sainsburys last year, but you can get them in the £1 shop as I found out after paying 3 quid for them in sainsburys:D:D:D:D
