As a cyclist I love the pedestrians who think that they're being clever by not stepping to the side. I don't expect not to have to move over myself when there's room for it, but the pedestrians who think that 17 stones of rider and 35lb of mountain bike won't be painful upon impact with their body really are at the bottom of the evolutionary ladder.
As a horseman, I have exactly the same view. I rarely have problems with cyclists, but ramblers just don't get it.0 -
Ah, horse-carrying vans, the slowest vehicles known to man!A problem shared is a problem multiplied.0

Ramblers are just cyclists without bikes.0

If there's enough room for ramblers to step aside to let a bike through, there's enough room for a bike to go round them..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I am a "polite" mountain biker and even when I slow down to walking pace and call out "excuse me" most ramblers seem to actually try and move and block the path completely.
Its not all ramblers but most of them.
Another good one is standing the opposite side of the path to your dog, who is on one of those long string tripwire type leads.“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -

i got warned by a dog owner to slow down and mind his dog. i was already going slow enough and his dog wasnt even on a lead.
why should the dog owner presume im not responsible enough to cycle in a straight line but his dog is more than capable of behaving its self off the lead?...work permit granted!0 -
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0
