Orange Contract - Return within 7 days?

Ok....
Brother is a bit of a spendaholic. and recently bought an orange phone on contract (£30Pm) and a usb dongle (£7pm)

Basically.

he cannot afford to pay it as he has no job... he has bad credit history and im frankly amazed that even gave it to him...

i have persauded him to cancel it (he got in 3 days ago) and arrange a cheaper contract when he has sorted his finances out (he doesnt tend to think before buying...)

is there any easy process to do this?

im aware of the 7 day cooling off period that is available...

I would appreciate any help on this.

Cheers

As long as it was bought online or on the phone just contact Orange and they'll send you a bag to return it in. Once they've got it back they'll cancel everything and that's that. . .

There is no cooling off period on stuff bought in store.
Some networks have one but not Orange and there's no legal onus on them too.
You can see if the manager will let you, but it's down to him. . .

Good luck - there will more than likely be a minimum period of at least six months before you can downgrade as I am sure you are aware.

Minimum period before a tariff can be downgraded on Orange is 9 months (on an 18mnth contract).
