Really cross with Argos today, went in with my LO and saw a Roary garage he has wanted for ages ,was reduced in the sale to less than £10 from almost £40 so took it to the till (it was the last one ) he was so excited, bless him, to be told I couldnt buy it as it had been reserved half an hour earlier, fair enough but surely it should have been taken off the shelf straight away, cue one distraught little boy,he cried buckets.
I was really upset for him.:mad::mad::mad:

Bless him. Have you tried going onto the Argos website; you can search for all locakl stores, and if they have one they'll reserve it for you.

DH has gone to work, DS has gone to alton Towers on a school reward-trip, and DD is still in bed. She saw her friends all day yesterday, but was still on MSN until we went to bed at 11:30 too

Consequently, I've been for a run at 7:30 :j Best part of the day, and better behaved and more polite dog walkers at that time. They all knew, without my asking, to hold onto their dogs as I ran past :A

Choir concert was a triumph last night :T We went to the pub afterwards, and my friend is really keen to have us sing at her DD's wedding next summer :T

Off to update my list hangin.gif

Looks good to me and because of the doors it's not a whole wall IYSWIM.

The curtains will make a difference and you do need to leave it a while as it's so different to what you had before.

Hi Crafty, thats why i picked that wall, i thought it would have been too much on a whole wall, even when i thought it was lighter than that!
    Morning everyone
Its bright and sunny here just now - the best we have had for a few days so will try to get out to sit in the garden and enjoy it.

off to organise brekkie as my carer wont be in until later and I am hungry now!!!
    toots xx

Glad your taking it easy Mrs! xx

TC!! No - my house is not that tidy! But moving everything around to paint gave me a good excuse to gut out behind the back of the tele, rehome the pile of DVD's and computer games that seem to keep assembling there, to where they actually belong! And all sorts of other jobs that I dont normally do.

And since tiny spots of paint got everywhere from painting, the LR has now been cleaned within an inch of its life! :D

If you look closely - in the reflection of the window, you can see my ironing board all set up and ironing all around and the contents of the cupboard under the stairs strewn around all over the place :rotfl:

Anyway, Bedding is in the wash, bathroom has been sprayed, am hoping to do a quick run around when i come home from work tonight, before I go out

    xx

Got up... walked to the shop, bought clingfilm, walked back...

While making the final batch of cake, hung out towels (washed overnight) on line, did washing up, washed hoover filters. I'm now covered in chocolate and the third tier should be cool enough to go in the fridge when I've finished breakfast and changed!

I've had a flash of inspiration (a bit late, but there we go!), and am going to try to find gift bags for the cake instead of boxes. It should be easier... if only I'd thought of it before there are LOADS online... including places that do really nice boxes which I didn't find when searching for boxes

    So today I have to:

Pack (including my mum's swimming stuff, as she didn't take it to the hotel and has now decided she fancies a swim!). Trying to remember everything I need...

    Buy cake bags/boxes

Buy a knee length slip as I have a dress I want to wear on Sunday if the sun stays out and it's completely transparent :o

Remove all evidence of the cake-making from the kitchen. I've tried to keep on top of it, but there is a certain amount of stickiness and chocolate around, despite my best efforts.

    Wash chocolate-covered t-shirt

Polish silver carving knife. Sharp both it and my big kitchen knife, and pack them and a BIG apron to take to the reception venue!

Finish edges on all three layers of cake and think about painting the top with white chocolate

I'd better get dressed and into town for opening time then! See you all later... Enjoy the sunshine!

:rotfl: Your comments about meeting a flylady.....I met a fly lady 'who shall remain nameless' who travelled 20'odd miles, cos she didnt want me to come to her house! ;)

Em, yes I do like the living room, I think..... It is darker than I thought, but it looks better now its had a second coat.....I havent put the curtains up yet, but you can judge for yourself.

Its only one wall thats this colour, the other walls are cream, which you can kinda see. The walls are dry to touch so have put the pics up so you can see what it would actually be like, but my cutains were expensive, so Im not putting them up till I know its 1000% dry :D
