chuck 'em out ;) love the stairs BTW :D
I agree, stairs lovely, twigs not - I've never seen the point of them myself, but that's just me.

Got a free day tomorrow, so aim to get some serious flying done in the morning, as I have a feeling DH will be home in the afternoon, and I will be resting to cope with the evening. I really want to get the lists done so tomorrow will be the day!

Toots – no, haven’t dealt with toxic BIL. They have gone to Blair Atholl for 2 weeks to stay with his parents. He nipped off fairly sharpish on Monday, knowing that I’d be wanting words with him.

Jue – how did DS’s trip go? Bless him. How are you getting on with the jabs?

Me – sorry I missed you this morning. Hope your leg gets better soon.

SarahSh – goodness, 137 questions! No wonder you were overwhelmed.

Triker – are you a SW? Well seeing I have a one track mind. I thought you were all talking about Slimming World and I was wondering why anyone would be mean about a Slimming World leader?

Jo – don’t mean to be nosy, but can you not claim the cost of child care through tax credits? Seems such a shame to spend your money on that.

Greenbee – when is the wedding?

Swinstie – I love your staircase. Against popular opinion, I’d clean the twigs and put them back.

Hex – definitely agree with you about HR. The majority of HR Dept are great, but one gives the rest of them a shockingly bad name.

Pigpen – glad it went well and that you’ve got a party to organise

Greenbee/Rose/Dusty - I'm going to join you in the step counting. I managed 7,500 yesterday (flying) and only 3,500 today (working).

I'm going to nip down to Costco to print out the wedding pics :D Then I'll do some S&Sing the kitchen.

Soappie I'll be at the library looking at plans of drains on Friday - I bet that's something you would do.
    .

You know me so well! But I only do research on a need to know basis. So far I've not had to do drains. And I'd probably do as much as I could online. It's amazing what's out there. One thing springs to mind, when we had a problem with drains him upstairs dealt with it and was able to claim the cost of the camera etc. on the buildings insurance.

Soappie has two tips of the day:

Tip No. 1. Make sure that when you're standing on a chair spraying the bathroom ceiling with mildew stuff you make sure your mouth is closed and you're wearing goggles. And remember, the residue falls like rain and will catch you a few seconds later.

Tip No. 2. When you're watering the garden because even though we had rain yesterday the tomato plants look v thirsty, you stand DOWN WIND of the gentle hose spray - not up wind.

From a rather damp and slightly bleached Soappie....

I have a little devil - or is it an angel - sitting on my shoulder urging me to go out and buy a pedometer. I am resisting. It would be too embarrassing!

  • Hello everyone

I have just had half an hour sit down with a cup of tea before going to paint the bathroom - my list instead of the one you are all following!!

How can someone possibly not see a huge basket of wet washing in the kitchen - only a little room mind! DD has stepped over and around the blessed basket all day and was asked on the phone to hang the washing out at lunch time - her response when I saw when I got home 'I did not see it there' - HOW........ I am at a loss for words - well nearly - had enough words to get her to hang it out but not sure it will dry as the clouds look like rain...... bar humbug - didn't want to use the dryer - it is the summer after all......

DS has refused to do the lawn until after his course finishes next week - looks like a wild garden - but I did let DD have some slack when her exams were on.

Ohhhh must add this before I go and paint

DD asked tonight was it really our utility room as she did not have to climb over stuff to get in there!!! I was so pleased that I cleared that this morning...... it feels good........I am such a sad person! :j

    Me

Will try and catch up with everyone later........

OK, my tiny list for today...

    1 WM load
1 TD load (and put it away)
    Dishes, S&S kitchen
Seriously think about sorting through the piles of paperwork that are taking over!

And in other news, I will be either getting induced or having a c section in 4 weeks time (I will be 37 weeks) if my blood pressure behaves, if not then it will be a steroid for babies lungs and get her out job. Better get things sorted then :D (so excited!)
