This morning, I had a big sort out in the bathroom, couldn't even get to the sink and I needed to wash my hair and clean my teeth! A few weeks ago, when I started the SoD, I had put about 8 bottles of Lynx, 3 phone chargers, a half full sponge bag and all the accutrements of his broken electric razor by the sink for DH to decide what he wants to keep - it is all now in a bag and will be thrown away if he doesn't deal with it by Monday. He brought the recycling bags in yesterday, so I've put the cardboard in one of them too. All this means that I can now clean the bathroom, and also finish the Shelf of Doom
Oh, and no-longer-a-friend has got up to even worse mischief AND managed to alienate 2 more people as well  AND has got herself a formal oral warning at work too.........
What's she done now? Interesting that she is losing friends because of this, and the three people checked if she was coming out before agreeing to go out with you. She's reaping what she's sown, perhaps she might come to her senses now

Louby_Lou hope your son is ok now after his stay in hospital

Mudbath hugs to you and your dad, it must be so worrying for you both

Mummyof5 Megan looks beautiful, what lovely hair and a lovely dress

Well done Jo on the Jimmy Choos, are you going to buy more shoes with the money?

Triker, that job thing is so amazingly stupid, you must have been furious. Also, Hugs for the SW thing, I have huge admiration for social workers. They do a very hard job in difficult circumstances, and do really well in my opinion. There was a really positive item on the One Show the other day about them, really good.

Dusty, how is the flooding today? Has the water abated at all? Well done on your step count

Frodders, big hugs re swine flu, I really hope it goes away and doesn’t harm any of your pupils. I heard that it is in a town that is fairly close to here, so am wondering how long it will be before it gets here.

    Hugs Methekidsandthecats

Julie, your son sounds so sweet, it’s so lovely when kids get all excited like that. I hope the trip lives up to his expectations

Big hugs Sarah, I hope the talk goes well on Friday. It’s lovely that the class want to know about DD3 and are so thoughtful about it. And it’s really lovely of you and the school to help them understand about her condition, it will help them later in life to have more empathy with people with illnesses and disabilities.

Pigpen, hope that what ever is on your mind can be sorted out, and that the SW gives the go ahead for the family to stay at your place

Oi Natty, I send you PM’s sometimes!

    Hugs Bevan and your OH

    2. clean ceiling - [STRIKE]light fitting -windows [/STRIKE]
    3. [STRIKE]clean walls [/STRIKE]- wash curtains and put up fresh - only a blind up there at the moment, going to take it down and soak in the bath, hope I don't ruin it!! Have also found/dug out from airing cupboard some creamy goldy curtains that will fit, so will wash them
    4. [STRIKE]clean out furniture [/STRIKE] - didn't take long as theres only two small pieces of furniture in there
    5. [STRIKE]decide what to do about carpet [/STRIKE] not even going to attempt to clean it, it's beyond that!! DH has taken the measurements to work with him as there may be something in the warehouse that will fit and the colour is neutral. It's a tiny tiny bedroom. So hopefully it won't cost us owt!!!:j:j

Dried cranberries have arrived, which is a relief. They're not exactly the same as the ones I had before (they're sweetened with apple juice, so better than the sugary ones), but I think they'll work. As my flying is now up to date and I've got one thing crossed of my list of 5, I think I'd better get dressed now.

For the rest of today I need to:

    1. do a load of laundry
    2. deal with banking - cancel ING DD (I thought I'd done this) and close account; transfer money into new current account; find out why payment to SiL to be was rejected
    3. make one batch of wedding cake... do I do the easy or difficult bit first?
    4. get ready for governors' meeting
    5. walk another 13000 odd steps...

Our cupboards are restocked (well they will be when I put the shopping away later, only time to do the fridge/freezer stuff now).

Rose - thanks for the passport heads up - I'll check ours later. Water has all gone now until the next downpour.

Just had a bit of luck. On my way back from Mr M I saw two guys peering in one of the road gully drains a few streets up. Pulled over and who should it be but my mates from the Highway Agency who I needed to call back. We've had a little chat and they are due to add my drains to their high pressure list for the end of the month - better than nought. Bet they couldn't believe their luck either. I'll see what the other drain man says later.

Need to pop DS1 lunch down, do I walk and increase my count, cycle which will be quicker but not increase my count. Or be really lazy and drive ....................I'll let you know when I get back. Steps 6500 so far
