    Morning all

Castle is back on ground level thank the lord. Phone calls to be made in a minute - just finished hoovering up all the feathers from today's gift.

SS - huge hugs you made me cry, the world needs more people like you x

Greenbee - not sure on my regular count (2611 so far post shower) - yesterday wasn't that tiring. I do want to loose a little weight - just the 5lb I have put on - I have an upper limit and when the scales tip it I try my hardest to get it back down so I may need to get more active. Hope your head is ok now.

Serena - sorry space in pm box now x

    Plan in order:
    Wash up
    make cuppa
    mop floors
hoover family room sofa and rug
    ring drain people
    ring hospital
    ring decorator
    make shopping list
Go to Mr M and Lidl
Make DS1 pack lunch and deliver to school
    Pilates
    School Run
    Drains man hopefully
    Cricket DS2
    Ugly Betty, Pimms and ironing

jinky - TAKE THE MOWING OFF YOU LIST RIGHT NOW!!! Now I know who to blame for the rain :p

Triker - we do know that there are some good SWs out there. And that it's a very, very tough job that most of us simply aren't capable of taking on. If there is one profession that is over-exploited, under paid and under valued I think that's probably it. You're dealing with some of the most difficult situations, frequently with very little support, and you certainly aren't in it for the money...

    .

Given all of the above, which is absolutely spot on, it doesn't help that many people find it very easy to slag off, call sw's derogatory names and generally be very negative all the time.

One bad/rubbish worker does not represent the whole profession.

I'm not taking a pop at anyone in particular here, its just getting quite upsetting reading all the negative stuff.

Having a bad week anyway so my sensitive o meter is running high.

Morning everyone. Woke up at 4.30am and thought I would not get back to sleep but I did. I did most of the bathroom on Sunday so its only a few things off the list that need doing. Will catch up on my kitchen list tonight.

Have got a bit of shopping to do then at the hospital.

methekidsandthecat. Hope your leg is better soon.
SS Hugs. That brought a lump to my throat.

Triker - lots of hugs and vibes heading your way. Hope the rest of the week is better than the beginning of it. I hope we all appreciate that you're doing a very difficult job in tough circumstances. I'm certainly not in a position to judge, as I've never even contemplated trying it, and I have a huge amount of admiration for you and those like you who are prepared to take on this kind of responsibility.

I think its easy for us to forget that when we generalise about professions/companies etc. based on our personal experience, the chances are that there is someone on here who either does the job (and most likely does it very well!) or works for the company, and might find the generalisation upsetting.

I try to work from the assumption that everyone does the best they can do to a good job (I even try to remember this when on the phone to one of my company's own call centres ;)). And I hope that the positive approach generally gets me a better result. Obviously, if it doesn't, then I try the other tack...

Back to the flying... I've cleaned the last of the kitchen windows :j(which means that the kitchen table is covered in homeless stuff again ).

Off to get dressed and try to ignore the migraine hangover... I need to be ready to start batch one of the cake after lunch.

Dusty - it must be running around after your children and animals that keeps you so active... I've done 810 steps so far today...

Well, slowly getting there. Have only skim read some of last nights posts, thank you for all the good wishes for DH at hospital (I'm starting to get a little :o but I won't let DH see that!!) He's shaved all his chest hair off and it looks soooo weird!! In the 4yrs I've known him he's always had it lol
Managed to relax last night, while he went in the bath I watched the MJ memorial (well part of it, I flicked to Emmerdale to watch that at one point) Then once it was finished went to bed with a DVD, thought Yes Man would be a good choice!! lol Was for me, DH was a little quiet but I think he was tired, was still asleep when I left for work this morning so I'm hoping he's slept ok :o

Hugs for all, will hopefully post an update at some point, probably be tomorrow morning so long as everything goes ok this afternoon.
Is it daft to be scared? When I know it isn't me that's going for the tests.

Good luck with SW today pigpen :)
Toots hope your taking things easy, thanks for the heart, completely forgot I'd managed one off my list! lol

Big hugs for everyone else who needs/wants one xxx
