I have been out all day at the village exchange and freecycle event. I was the only one freecycling and got rid of loads of things, people who were exchanging or selling didn't do so well but they said I brought the people in that wouldn't have looked otherwise.

Just me and DH home tonight so I am off to cook a special dinner and we have a bottle of champagne we have been waiting to drink without the hungry and thirsty hoards around.

  • OOh Valli, break a leg for the interview.

Divorce is pants, and esp in my case with 3 month old baby and on unpaid matenity leave...when husb does a moonlight flit.

There's always good to come of it though, she has a far better Daddy than she would have otherwise, and DD2 wouldn't exist.

Try to say to yourself that it will pass, and you may never be on speaking terms, but at least you will do your best to lessen the effect on your children.

The vicar's wife told me to "offer it up to God", and although I believe, that was hard - and not especially useful - advice at the time!

Wishing you peace of mind in this difficult time.

Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

Right where did I get up to with the list....Weekend list for those with odd tendancies

    1. S&S bathroom and kitchen - will need at least 2 x HHC in kitchen alone..... 1 x HHC done
    2. binbag dance
    3. [STRIKE]Polish any shoes for work + put said shoes away[/STRIKE]
    4. Change any bedding that has not been done this week
    5. [STRIKE]Spend half an hour doing something for YOURSELF!! - think I will manage this one - I plan to have a coffee while DD has interview for a Saturday job in Lincoln - must remember to take my book so I dont look too silly being on my own - lol[/STRIKE] - had frothy coffee and bought books in Waterstones while I waited for DD
    6. 15 minutes filing - opening neglected post
    7. Think of 5 more tasks to complete next week!!
    8. List 5 things to sell/ebay/freecycle
    9. sort through one cupboard.. kitchen or clothing or junk.. whatever - maybe - might not get there but will try
    10. [STRIKE]Place a wanted notice on Freecycle for hangers as need loads.[/STRIKE]
    11. 2 loads of washing besides the bedding above - 1x WM in now
    12. HHC from sofa hotspot - it is so so so bad - i will take a picture but will only post if I can clear it - too embarassing for the world to see:o
Also have list of 5 to finish:
    1. [STRIKE]Pay a bill for Mum - need to write letter with it. - letter typed and printed just need to fill in cheque and post [/STRIKE]
    2. QHG each evening - will try for HHG but not sure will meet that
    3. [STRIKE]clear access to utility room - tired of standing on things to reach the sink already done [/STRIKE]
    4. Clear hall - put up hanging rail for Mum's clothes
    5. Plant shrubs and plants before they completely die!
Well sort of getting there but all my get up and go has b---ered off......

Oooh Toots - please can I have another heart for the complete task from the list of 5.

I just have to let you know that DD went on her first ever interview at Boots at 2.30 and was told she would hear early next week. then got a phone call at 5 to say she had got the job to start in August - half hour later another phone can she start next week! She is over the moon as she finds it difficult to meet people and prefers to stay in her room - more than usual teenage isolation IYSWIM.

So she has to be at work next Saturday at 8.30 am - no more lazy Saturdays for her or me either as I will have to take her in.
