Had quite a nice day, managed a few bits off the lists then did a few bits in the garden this morning before the pouring rain arrived. Got 11 pumpkin plants repotted, no idea what I'm gonna do with them all! A couple of people at work with little children are going to have one & I want a couple. I expect we'll put the others at the end of the drive, someone'll take them! This afternoon we went to visit an elderly relative for a couple of hours which was nice.
Off to find the end of the thread now!0 -
Most spooky.
The doorbell just rang. I went to answer it, there was no one there. No one hiding either doing a knock down ginger (I'd see them). I thought it must have been on the TV and I mistook it but the kids (and a visitor) said they'd heard it too.
OK - who's trying to get in touch?

My lovely friends,
As its the weekend this is the only time I can explain/tell you my news. I apologise now as some of you may find this distressing.
I have thought long and hard about this and tried to weigh the pros and cons of telling you and in the end I came to the decision that I am deceiving you by not telling you so here goes!
the last time I was in hospital we discovered that my tumour had shrunk which is great BUT ... (there always is one!!) - i will not be able to have any more treatment when it grows back - no more chemo - chemo knocks out my immune system and the slighest infection could be fatal - and coupled with the worsening myasthenia the same predicament will be hanging over me constantly from now - the slightest infection from a cold to a bug could be fatal - my lungs cannot cope and therfore a chest infection or something like that will be the end of me.
So I am having to be very aware of any infection risk - trying not to get paranoid about the swine flu - and staying way from large groups of people.
I have so much that i want to do yet - loads of things that I have never done in my life but dont know if I will get the chance - for now its just life as normal.
Who knows how long I have - or any of us for that matter - but I have to bless each day I get and try to enjoy each one. Unfortunately I cannot make plans way into the future as I dont know how I will feel which is hard too.
If an infection doesnt get me then the cancer probably will in time - although the tumour has shrunk its only one part of a bigger thing - there are a few other parts which could spring to life at any time.
I have had to face up to some difficult decisions this last few weeks but a lot of things have been sorted out - final nursing procedures, a place in the hospice, my will and I am trying to do funeral arrangements now. I know this all sounds morbid but i feel better having 'got my affairs in order' and not had to leave things to my brother.
If I am lucky I will get a couple of years - who knows - but in the meantime I dont want you to be 'worrying' - we are passed that stage now and have to take things as they come - with my main objective being to do as much on my wish list as possible. And with your help I might achieve some of them too.
I will be going into hospital from time to time to get more muscle treatment to help me keep going a little better - all going well I hope to get in at the end of this month as I feel I could do with the boost now.
I am frustrated that I cant just pack up and zoom off to do a round of visiting or whatever but apart from that I have things fairly straight in my head now and have accepted the situation - there is nothing else I can do but I am not giving in to it - I must try at least to do some of the things.
I have been told that I might find these next months very fulfilling and thats what i am aiming for too. Please dont feel sad but try to help me find ways around what i want to achieve - the flyladies and gents always make a formidable team and have loads of genius suggestions.
Now that you know I dont want you to be any different on the thread - life goes on as normal for us all but at least now you wont be wondering if I suddenly do something crazy!!!please dont be walking on eggshells with me and frightened to mention something - I want things to be as normal as possible.
Fingers and toes crossed for at least another few months - I must get this place finished so that i can enjoy it and then it will make more money when it is sold - thats first on the wish list!!
Love and hugs to you all
toots xx
p.s. and no more hugs in packages, balloons or anything else - I am ok - save your money for your hols xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxPeace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

Toots - well done for being so brave and letting everyone else know. xx You know we'll be with you all the way - through the good times and the bad times.
That phantom doorbell ringing at the time it did and at a certain point in a PM exchange between me and Toots about her announcement has made me certain that the frivolously mentioned operation SHUNT should happen. BB and I ARE going to do the SHUNT thing (Soappie Heads Up North to Toots). It'll take a bit of planning and if any flyladies (and gents) are willing to offer a bit of hospitality in the form of a cup of tea on the way that would be lovely.
It's early days in the planning but it WILL happen. Toots has touched me and my family's life in more ways than you all know. I want to meet her and shake her hand. And BB wants to do a high five.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I've not been around for a few days as spending too much time cleaning other peoples houses. Just popped on to boast that I filled a big van full of junk out of my greenhouse for dumping today. The neighbours cat who loves hiding in under the debris wasn't so chuffed.
I had hoped to get my first star this week so am gobsmacked to declare I've actually also finished Wiggly Wednesday so a second star please!!
Toots - I am relatively new to the thread so was unaware of your situation. You are an incredible lady and I thank you for the support and strength you have given to this forum (and me). I wish you all of the best xxxxx

Toots, ta for your pm hun, thank you for sharing such a deeply personal issue in in life, I guess you did that because we're friends right, because you know what, you don't have to see people in person to be friends....;)
If I could do something to make you better I would.
