She just wants him to be here because he doesn't see them enough... not through want of my trying I will add!!! They are too little to understand 'in 3 days' and 'tomorrow' means any point in the future.. how are yours coping?

Mine all seem to have had their relevant meltdowns and got them out of their system we just need some work onthe bedtime routine because they are thinking they cando as they please.. but the overall behaviour has improved hugely and DD2 has even been... laughing.. we hadn't heard her laugh probably since christmas now she is constantly giggling away.. it is lovely to see the positive changes in the children. oh, and considering ti was me that was supposedly the 'messy one' the house is much tidier on the whole!!

It's funny how they pick up on things no matter how careful you think you are being. it took DS a LONG time to sort this one and he had (and still has to a lesser extent) dreadful separation anxiety. As for their dad at one point I think DD would have gone with him given half a chance BUT he has successfully alienated himself from them both by not making an effort to keep in touch - how hard is it to phone? I told exOH that HE needed to remember he is the adult and to keep the lines of communication open. This he has spectacularly failed to do...
I just used to tell mine that their daddy DID still love them - but how much better it would have sounded coming from him.
DS has not gone to his dads again (two weeks in a row) and it won't occur to his dad to phone and ask how he is...
Mind you this is a bloke who WOULD NOT see his kids when he was not working as he couldn't afford petrol - and declined my offer to take them to his as he would not ask me for any favours. Let's see - who did that hurt? NOT ME! DD on the other hand was crying herself to sleep at that time (that DID hurt me though)
So hugs to Pigpen and Mumofjusttwo and Tag - pay no heed to any idiots who say divorce is easy. No one goes into these things lightly - believe me I did it twice and the first time I had no kids and I still went through the agonies of the decision...I absolutely did not want this for my kids but this is the hand I have been dealt and I know I am much happier like this.
Lots of things happen in Valli Towers now that never would have - like the impromptu sleepovers (two stayed last night - one each) and the mates coming in and being fed if it's a mealtime...because exOH just wasn't like that...

LOL, patience my dear, I am sure the star people (well Toots ;)) will make sure you get what you are entitled to...in star terms I mean ;).

I have done nothing really today, not even my weekend list, as back is giving me trouble again :confused:.
Still been having fun sorting out the finances for our holiday, and seeing how much spending money we can have. It is my birthday just before we go and mum has informed me she has treated me to new jeans :D, as well as some other things. Ah, mums are great.
Anyway, anyone wanna join me for an HHC at 5pm ? I need to bring in and sort the laundry!
    Congratulations Helen Jelly :).
Hope all are well and hugs to all who need them.

After removing the bottom screw, the smoke now starts... whats the phrase oh yes BILLOWING...Now Not bothering with the top screw I remove the cover and use the Kitchen fire extingisher sparingly on what is now a nice little roar of a fire...

The fire is now out.. nut what to do we need to go out and I don't really need it to start up again while im not in...

A quick phone call later to my father (a now retired Officer in the local brigade)

8 mins after that a big shiny red truck pulls up outside of my house. ( now I had an inkling I would know one or two of the dear fellows inside,) What I didn't bargin for was knowing every single one of them as they pulled up got out laughed and told me to put the kettle on....

After much humour ( of which I happend to be the victim) and a few gallons of coffe later, a go in the engine for the kids, we finally went out for the evening..

    **green with envy**;)
