Considering their haste in getting me to respond to them I was quite surprised how long they took to respond back to me. Anyway, even though Im on holiday I thought Id check the forum and it seems that they sent me a PM on the 29th of July.
The jist is that they are not willing to discuss or comment on this matter in public ! here is what they saidab2009
We have processes and procedures in place to deal with customer complaints. We would encourage you to send your details through as requested, so that a member of our customer services team can contact you directly.
We view any customer complaint as a matter between ourselves and the customer and therefore do not feel it is appropriate to resolve individual cases in the public arena.

Technically they are correct, they are regulated by the Financial Services Authority (As are all providers of Insurance). One of the requirements is that they have a set procedure for dealing with complaints which complies with the FSA requirements and also that all complaints are recorded and are available for the FSA to audit.
If they handle your complaint via PM on MSE it would not comply with the FSA0 -
Though there's nothing to stop you scanning their letters in and posting them here.....:D0

Seriously - dont do it - they trebled my insurance for a no fault claim. I was stationary, hit from behind. Other party accepted liability in full
I Buy Eco still trebled my insurance - you have been warned0 -
ab2009 have you heard anything back from them yet?0

Write an official complaint to their CEO, the address and how to do it is in their Policy Book or should be on the website. They have to treat official complaints correctly and investigate it and respond to you within certain parameters.
In addition they have to report the amount of official complaints they receive to the FSA, the FSA will also audit a certain amount of their complaints to ensure they have handled it correctly.
They might have a glitch in their processes which might be corrected because of the complaint and they might even send you an exgratia payment for all of the grief.0
