  • DD is off to India and has a Nationwide cirrus? cashcard . She is only 17 so cannot get a proper debit card. Will this work in the atms in india and if not what is the best alternative?

Having left it too late to change to a Nationwide bank account and credit card before next week when I'm off. Am I better off changing cash for the bulk of my Euros or taking it out on either of my debit cards (Woolwich or Abbey)?

This is a very useful thread :)

Well from past experiance the withdrawl fee for where we are going is £1.50 but with these cards you dont pay a converstion rate. So its like the nationwide card but the oposite way round, with that you pay a cenversion fee but no withdrawl fee.

Nope, with Nationwide Debit or cash card (i.e. Flexaccount card) there is neither a conversion fee or a cash withdrawal fee.

There is a £10 charge to buy that card where as the co-op one is free.

To use an electron card it the ATM needs to have a link logo. I have an electron and dont have any trouble using it here or abroad.
