Looks like perfect business sense to me! They separated themselves from the rest of the (dying) market. If I were going away on business to Blackpool, it would be an option. They looked busy. That said, it's very much a niche market - who in their right mind organises business in Blackpool?
And while I'd be willing to go there myself and be happy, I wouldn't want book a client in there - but there doesn't seem to be any better options around. So I ask again, who in their right mind organises business in Blackpool?

That couple on the Hotel inspector last night are throwing away money. That hotel is in a street where all the hotels/b&b's are for the low end of the market, the street will attract stag & hen's the lot. Would you stay in a 5* hotel with shouting, screaming & fighting till all hours outside your window?

It might have a chance if it stood by itself away from the rest of the budget places.

They will be bust in 2yrs, Blackpool is dying no matter how you look at it.

They ought to get someone to look at their website. They spend all that money on the hotel & the website does not even come up on the Google search for " 5* hotel blackpool"

It must come up on the search for them to make a go of this, or they will spend a fortune on advertising. They need to sort out the keywords & meta tags on the site to get anywhere near the top of the search.

actually, i think the website is fine, design wise. the biggest problem with regards to what you're saying, as in why you cant find it, is that it isnt a hotel. its still a B&B, albeit a very upmarket one. i have never heard of people wanting to stay in a 5* B&B. a 5* hotel, yes, but a B&B?

im finding it incredibly depressing that even quick sell companies wont speak to us.

im getting the feeling that the evaluator re: auctions will be the bearer of yet more bad news

    HI

I would suggest taking it off the maket for 3 to 5 months.

Then putting it back at a market price, and also make sure youget decent agents who will also put it in the trade papaers such as the hotel and caterer etc.
