Should we withdraw from the sale or hold out a bit longer?
Has anyone completed a sale with them and how long did it take?
100% withdraw your dealings with them. Every single person on this thread has not completed a sale with them, the ones who say they have turn out to be Wolstenholmes staff posing as customers!
Numerous people including myself have reported them to the Law Society and I suggest you do the same. I had 5 months dealings with Wolstenholmes, during that time I had not a single thing done, my case was passed internally from solicitor to solicitor and they took my money. My new solicitor completed my purchase in 2 weeks, thats the service we should have all had from WH.0 -

Fuzzy, you won't complete with them. It's an unfortunate fact, you can see by reading through this thread the trouble and stress they have caused. Advise your buyer to change to a local recommended solicitor immediately to save you and them more stress.0 -

Yes, do give your vendor a chance to sort it out before withdrawing, they're probably more stressed than you are by the situation. Make sure they realise it's no trouble to change solicitor.0 -
Tell them to change solictor's or loose the house.0

Please, please PLEASE don't wait for the estate agents to become more frustrated and pull the sale. puppy8910club is right, they will lose the house if they stay with Wolstenholmes!!!! I was lucky as my house is shared ownership and they desperately wanted the house to be sold, but unfortunately there were several parties involved and WH constantly lied to all of us leaving us all depressed and downhearted. Lets not give these crooks anymore of our money!!!
UPDATE: Helen Murgatroyd has until 14th December to respond to my complaint via the LCS. Its taking a while but I hope myself and others get the compensation we deserve.0 -
Hi, a friend says all Wolstenholmes phones appear to be down and some strange explainations about accepting funds.
HAVE THEY JUST GONE IN TO LIQUIDATION perhaps???0 -
All their phones have gone down before. I tried to call all their numbers once including the ones they claimed were in London etc (even though we all know they have two offices, Bham and Cheshire). I have a feeling they will be back up soon.0

No wolstenholmes have not gone into liquidation - they have experienced technical difficulties with the telephones lines and computers0

Thanks for that, Member of Wolstenholmes' staff. When are you going to get your act together and give people the service they pay for instead of stealing off them? Care to answer that one?0
