Just seen the links about the "Meet our solicitors" pages. The guy that I spoke to yesterday is Bobby Shabbir. I mentioned that I had tried to ring a number of people including Daniella Gonzalez and he said "She left ages ago".

last i saw, they were trying to gain access to the premises as no one from Wolstenholmes was there. I assume that they now take over and try to get the work sorted and hopefully money refunded to people.

Well the side door looked like someone had already put through two panes of glass when I was there yesterday. It shouldn't take much to get through. If they need help getting in, I'm sure there are plenty of people on here that would be happy to help
I assume you are local so any updates you can give on this would be gratefully received by people like myself who have hundreds of thousands of pounds in this company's bank account. If needs be I will go their myself on Tuesday if there are people from the SRA at the offices to talk to, but wouldn't want to waste even more time and money travelling there if there's no-one there.

i will definately keep you informed, you might want to phone before coming up, just in case somebody can help you over the phone, but i will check on Tuesday if anybody is in the building. Take care everyone and happy christmas.

I can confirm this. My estate agent is their next door neighbour. Does anyone know what the next steps are to getting our money and files/documents back?

There is another thread on this and "Discovery" posted this

There are a few issues that I am trying to get clarified.

The firm certainly has not been trading for over 200 years under the current owners and may not have been in existence until a very short while ago. The individuals are regulated and in this case only 2 solicitors , the rest are assistants.

This whole set up was to trade initially and then shut down and disappear. As stated earlier, this is not the first time these individuals have performed in such manner albeit in a different industry."


So if this is right, and it rings true, then it is serious Fraud. If anyone has info on this it needs to be sent to the SRA immediately.

Funny that. According to Companies House Bobby Shabbir's appointment was terminated on 14th December and he no longer appears in the Law Society's list of solicitors at Wolstenholmes either.

Well it was definately the guy in the picture. He didn't give me his name, I only know based on what he looked like although he looked older/greyer and more drawn than the picture; I put that down to the stress of working for the firm. There were also two other women who came and let themselves into the office whilst I was sat there ringing my estate agent up to explain what was happening. I popped into the Estate Agents you metioned yesterday to see if they had any idea about what was going on, and it was the lady there that told me about the side door, which was very helpful.
