Hello LP - goodness you seem to be having a time of it with OH and FIL. Perhaps part of OH's problem is that he simply doesn't think...? Quite honestly... Men sometimes!! In contrast, FIL sounds like a much more pernicious issue. Fortunately, whilst family (we don't choose, do we?!) at least you don't have to live with him. Maybe just pat him along and try and let the nasty stuff simply slide off... water off the duck's back, so to speak. Meanwhile, enjoy the thought of your third little pixie... I am so pleased for you - OH and I have been unlucky in that department, although we're trying not to give up hope. The silversmithing sounds so interesting - how did you get into it in the first place?

I have just moved onto the more complex wire work... instead of just beads on string and earrings. How is the silversmithing going?MFW 2010- £112,500 + 20% Equity Loan = £150,000 35 years

QB - while waiting for number 1 we were diagnosed with unexplained infertility and i fell pregnant while on a 'break' before starting IUI. DD2 was first cycle 13 months after DD1 was born. This third pixel was a long term birth control failure. Do not be down or dispondent. Five years ago about now we were facing possibly no kids and now OMG i have a zoo.
ZTan- it's good, I can make rings now and set stones. Quite enjoyable but a bit dangerous, metal needs anealed which requires a blow torchTo do at home I would need a workshop/garage.

Where do you do your silversmithing Pixie? Do you find it's a good money maker, the selling the jewellery on the side thing? As yet, I've only made 1 sale to a friend... but my stock is somewhat lacking in inspiration and size...MFW 2010- £112,500 + 20% Equity Loan = £150,000 35 years

Local art university does evening classes. £70 for a block of 6 weeks. I suply a local bridal shop and make a few hundred a month but TBH when doing the whole time v's profit thing it needs modified hence trying to get a great site going. I really need to find the time/cash to go to wedding fairs but first I need to build up a stock and cost wise and storage wise we will struggle. I have actually half considered building a garage/extension on new house for a work area or buying a wooden cabin/summer house for the same reasons.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

It is a drastically time consuming and space consuming "hobby" isn't it?

Hi LP,
A woman of many talents! When you do get your site going, please give me a shout. Moyra loves silver jewellery and if there's a possibility of bespoke (see also unique designer) stuff then that will put me in the good books no end!!
Cheers,
