    hell yeah.

rght so now I need to be practical. I have only moved from parents to here so who do i have to tell i'm moving and when?? I am guessing phone/broadband/tv 28 days notice. We have decided not to move the services with us for a few reasons. Firstly new customers get better deals, cashback and currently i'm is a sky dish free zone but new home allows dishes and I want sky +. :)

    Everything else ?????

I did have a whole list: depends on what you've got registered and either way you need to tell certain people that you're leaving...

    Doctors
    Dentists
    DVLA
    Vets
    Council Tax
    Mobile Phones
    Insurance- Car, Pet and otherwise
    Landline
    TV
    TV Licence
    Water
    Gas
    Electric
    Bank accounts...

stuck there, if I think of anymore I'll let you know.
In the run up to our move, I had a print out with everyone I needed to call, and their cheapest telephone number, so I could call and tick them off as necessary.

I need to move to Scotland!!

When it's a big, permanent move then it is hard to remember everything- but yeah it does all need doing. Banks etc tend to be quite easy.. but it's important to remember because else you end up losing an account like I have. Somewhere in my various moves a few years ago, I forgot to change the address on an old account- nothing in it anyway so it didnt matter... but to this day, I don't know where it is or anything. I probably could go to my "local" RBS branch, which is in another city... but I don't care!

If you're worried about letting everyone know you've moved don't forget the Royal Mail can forward any mail incorrectly sent to old address to new for a while :)
