sammy - your nans diary will be lovely by the sound of it. Best experiment a bit first I think to make sure you get it how you want it - be nice to have a little bit of the purple showing maybe, just around the edge ?
Where did you get the diaries from ? I want to do some myself and haven't seen any around
Drawing hamper ! What a brilliant idea and why ever didn't I think of that for son and his girlfriend. They both do art and sculpture -all sorts like that. Oh well, there's allways next year. They're more or less sorted for this christmas.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi everyone.
Trying to think of a book idea for my mum for christmas. I know she likes stories about cornwall. Has anyone got any suggestions for fiction books centered around Cornwall?
Think I might have found one from Play.com http://www.play.com/Books/Books/4-/9248133/Up-With-The-Larks-Starting-Again-In-Cornwall/Product.html the write up is
"Having given up a high-powered job and the lifestyle to match, Tessa Hainsworth had no idea how hard she would struggle when, full of optimism, she fulfilled her dream of moving to rural Cornwall with her young family one September. Within months, she is almost ready to return to London, tail between her legs: her husband is still out of work, her children are struggling in a cold, damp, tumbledown house and the family is running out of money - fast. But a chance encounter in the local post office leads her to accept the unlikeliest of job offers. "Up With the Larks" charts Tessa's turbulent first year with the Royal Mail, and her transformation from outsider to 'Posh Postie', adopted Cornishwoman and much-loved member of her new community. She starts in the bitter darkness of midwinter, faced with the perils of the Christmas rush, a van with a mind of its own and a host of unfamiliar routes, local characters - and their animals, large and small. But, day by day and month by month, she meets and learns to love a wonderfully colourful cast of characters until her second Christmas in Cornwall is entirely different from the first, as the community goes out of its way to thank her with small gifts and other tokens of their affection. At last she feels Cornwall is home" :T0 -

I've done a little more Christmas shopping online tonight - ordered the complete Thunderbirds collection from HMV for £17.99 (for my OH - he'll love this, maybe DS will watch it with him too) and also some bits from Boots (free delivery to my local store which is the tiniest Boots ever so I didn't think they'd deliver there - only the bigger stores)
I am a little stuck for my MOVIE HAMPERS - I was hoping to get a extra large popcorn holder and strengthen it with card of some sort, but after searching the web I can't find anything suitable size-wise. Any ideas?
