I'm currently in the process of putting together a beer hamper for my dad for christmas. If anyone is interested Asda currently have an 3 of £4 offer on, on their Ales. So far I've got 9 bottles of Ale plus the magners gift set which I think has a bottle of magners and a pint glass all for £16. Can anyone give me any ideas for anything else to put into it. Trying to work on a £20 price tag for his present. Can go over it abit.0

For a Beer Hamper how about...
Bottle opener
Bar Towel
Novelty Beer Mats
Ohh, just remembered - I was in Wilkos yesterday and they had a guide to British Pubs for £3
Dependant on the theme of the beer, ie if you were going for traditional pub beer theme you could add Salted Peanuts, Pork Scratchings, Dominos, Cribbage Set0 -
Thanks for the heads up on the book from Wilko's. Do you know if thats in all the stores or just the one you went to. I might try and get a bottle opener.0

I'm not too sure if it's nation wide or just to certain Wilkos but if they don't have any in, I have just found this on amazon

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! :T:T:T:T Theres going to be a baby boom on this thread before long! lol do you know your estimated due date yet?
Well have been out to town today and brought some paint your own disney princess pictures for my nieces. Am debating whether to do a hamper each or one big hamper - but small separate ones seem to be looking good about now for them.
Also becuase I spent over £4 in Ethol Austin they gave me the option of an item half price so i get a football shaped money pot which will eitehr go to my nephew or one of my cousins - not sure yet though.
Also picked up some paper, flowers and ribbon to decorate my nans diary with. I have this diary in purpleso have brought some lacy looking paper, some fine purple flowers and a pale purple ribbon to decorate with. Hoping it will turn out nicely. Was thinkign of decorating so I leave a strip of purple at the opening edge or on the spine of the book but cant decide because I have the diary 2010 to try and cover but was thinking if i put white paper on it then I could put a flower on top to hide it away. Don't know will see
Apart from that don't think I brought anything else. Oh yes i did a teddy in ethol austin for £1.50 - its a white teddy with a brown ribbon but thinking if I change the ribbon (i don't like it) then I can put that holding the bracelet box with the bracelet in that im hoping to pick up on Thursday for her, then cellophane the lot up.
so all in all a good day and i think I spent about £9.50 on all of it. not too shabbyTime to find me again0 -
ALSO
SOMEONE WHO WAS DOING A DRAWING HAMPER
cant remember who it was but they had the posable mannequins in Wilkinson's today for £1.97Time to find me again0
