I gave my christmas cake its weekly feed of brandy yesterday - mmmm it smells absolutely gorgeous:p
I am intending to start wrapping presents this weekend and I'd better start with the big tins of sweets because I opened one last night:eek: I had a headache and was craving something sweet and only had jam in the house and, of course, only chocolate would do!!:rotfl: DD was thrilled to bits and enjoyed the early xmas present no end:D OH said to look at it as an exercise in quality control - he could be right because there seemed less sweets in the tin than in previous years!!
Lol I made the mistake of buying tins from tesco when they were BOGOF, one "accidentally" got opened the other day...
Know what you mean about less sweets these days too (that or I ate more than I thought I did...)June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Once doubled up vouchers are valid for another 3 months so no rush. Delivery (for Direct orders) is £5 to home or store and free to store when spending over £25 (I think).
I just ordered my double up vouchers for toys at Direct, means I get the kids main pressie for half price!
I ordered the JK Rowling book for 50p from tesco mentioned on Grabbit board and also found a hardback for OH for £14 with code for 200 points so pleased with these, his pressies nearly done now!
time to get offline been shopping since 9am must play with kids now - we all have a cold so PJ day here though i do have a driving lesson in a few hours and should get dressed soon!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

MummyYummy wrote: »Sorry - I just re-read my post and its a big misleading. I got the Where's Stig book from Tesco (but posted the link to explain what it was). I think it was £4.49 but it is brand new stock - only a few were out. HTH xx
A big thanks for pointing us to the Where's Stig book - just ordered one - perfect for my uncle. Anyone else ordering this or any other hardback books from Tesco, use XXAUGHB for 200 extra clubcard points (valid until 4th Oct) & don't forget to go through Quidco! Makes it an even better bargain!0 -
Been a fan of this site for ages but never actually got around to posting lol. This thread is great have spent the last couple of days reading it. it has some great ideas. I got a couple of gifts last year from a website called youcraftylot..I think it's for crafters in the uk abit like a shopping mall, all handmade..... nice. I also joined the tesco christmas savings club last year which was a massive help with my food bill last christmas, expecting around £70 in vouchers this year fingers crossed....of course the scarey thing is that means i have spent a fortune lining tesco's pockets lol. I tend to get the kids making things for grandmas etc, They made bookmarks last year not sure yet about this year but thinking about painting canvases?
Sorry it's so long winded lol
