  • I gave my christmas cake its weekly feed of brandy yesterday - mmmm it smells absolutely gorgeous:p

I am intending to start wrapping presents this weekend and I'd better start with the big tins of sweets because I opened one last night:eek: I had a headache and was craving something sweet and only had jam in the house and, of course, only chocolate would do!!:rotfl: DD was thrilled to bits and enjoyed the early xmas present no end:D OH said to look at it as an exercise in quality control - he could be right because there seemed less sweets in the tin than in previous years!!

got a pasta recipe book type thing-is a lot of laminated strips with an eyelet keeping it all together and strips can swing round to show different recipes on different pages/strips.this is to go with DD1`s pasta maker-will get the perishable things like parmesan, garlics etc nearer xmas

I bought a loads of pasta stuff for my cousions pasta hamper last week from Aldi, they had some packs of really fancy stuff that was pretty cheap but looks really good, they had loads of pasta too but I suppose with a pasta maker that wont be needed. They had oils, sauces and herbs and breads etc all with good dates on if that helps.

    Morning all,

Just been on Grabbit board and got a remote controlled indoor helicopter reduced from £39.99 to £11.99 including delivery from PLAY.com just incase anyone else was looking for one. Was perfect as I had already seen the exact model and thought I was going to have to pay the £40 for DS's Christmas!!

Thanks for this, have just ordered one for OH as I always buy him at least one Toy for Christmas. Usually R/C things, the kids love watching daddy playing with them and so do I so it's a treat for all of us!
