Did a few more bits of Christmas shopping today. We went to a steam rally and while I usually complain about all the market stalls, I managed to find -
Handmade soap, one with Lizard for BM's stocking, one with a Pig for my youngest sister as part of her present, £2 each, smell divine!
BMW keyring for BIL who is in love with his new (OLD) 5 series and won't shut up about it so am going to do him gift set of BMW bits.
Lovely necklace for younger sister as part of her present, £1.
Found the guy with the engraving stall who was there last year and got him to engrave a replacement of a glass he did for my Dad's 50th last year, that got broken a few weeks later. He cheekily wrote Mark 2 on the bottom which I thought was funny. £3 for that, that'll be his b'day present this year!
For my younger brother who'll be 21 in a few months I had a pint glass engraved for him with a message and picture of a globe (he likes travelling and was all I could think of as his interests). £5, including the glass, which I think is a bargain and it looks lovely.
So all in all, very pleased with that little lot! Now looking for more BMW stuff on ebay (any excuse)...
That must have been the Laughton one (you're in my neck of the woods). Cant afford to go there this year (DH just bought new car) but glad you found some bargains. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

What is the idea for the Lump of coal which people make up for christmas gifts
Apparently Father Christmas would deliver coal to naughty children, info here http://www.christmasgifts.org.uk/christmas/father-christmas-santa-claus/

ive set a budget of £20 per movie hamper, but im hoping to get this down! i got the dvds from morrisons and sainsurys. i did say £10 each for dvds and have spent the full amount on my nephew who has 5. £9 on niece, has 4 and £8 on brother has 4. so really happy with that
the baskets i just got cheap plastic things £1.50 for 2 in wilkinsons, so only 75p each. i also got big bags of rainbow drops 4 for £1 in morrisons. and im waiting for some stripy popcorn bags to come from ebay 10 for £2.60 including delivery.
so that leaves me to get popcorn, boyes have 2 big tubs of butterkist for £3, so mite get these and then we'll have 1 spare for us.
hoping to find these cups and then ill add a couple of small bottles of cola.
and i think that will be it!
so should have these 3 crossed off the list next week!
im quite proud of myself!
I'll keep an eye out if I see bigger cups like that, its exactly the kind of thing I want for my hampers too. I'm doing ok so far with my Dvds, HMV had a triple Smokey and the Bandit set for about £3 each, also Fantastic Four and Beaches for 2 or 3 quid each. I met up with my friend today and I was telling her about these hampers I was doing. Turns out that she has two baskets she got with candles she bought and she has no use for the baskets so I'm getting them. Less baskets to get/buy. I reckon with sweets, pringles, popcorn and wee bottles of coke thats going to bring them in at around a tenner per person, perfect!!I thought I'd leave buying all the perishables til nearer the time as there's always lots of buy one get one frees so will save even more I hope. I've only got about 3 more Dvds to get !
Still got stuff to get for my kids though...absolutely no idea what to get them.0 -

Well it's 12th September and got my 1st gift for my Bro
It was still a lot of money but managed to get a 'superdry windbreaker' jacket from £65.00 down to £36.00 from it being onsale in a catalog and having a £10 voucher also
I know he'll love it so i don't mind spending that much but I guess I am lucky that I only have to buy for my Bro, Dad and boyfriend and 4 friends ever year.
Does feel funny talking about Christmas when it wa 21c here in lincolnshire today :j0 -
