Have just shown the kids up a treat at the local co-op

They have all the xmas chocolates in, twiglets, selection boxes, choccy santas, choccy coins and so much more.

I was actually giggling, picking stuff up and showing the kids, clapping hands

I think the men in white coats may be here shortly :D
  • FOUND THEM!!!!!! It took days to find them and at last I stumbled across them next to the bed storage boxes in the main store not the housey bit!

A bargain at £3.42 for 3 in a deep teal flock, I bought 2 lots for Christmas hampers!

Thanks for the tip off. Also got the chocolate coins on BOGOF and some lg quality street gold caramel things to go in the pots of gold (if I don't eat them first! Mr T had the first wave of christmas stuff in, it should all be in by the end of the month at this rate :D

yay! im glad someone found them :T your very welcome
  • for my birthday last year someone bought me a ds game which wasnt what i liked so today i took it into game along with another i have just finished and got £19 trade in price on the two. i stuck another £1 to it and got the balancxe on a giftcard so thats a £20 game gift voucher for £1!!! im going to give it to my brother for his birthday next month - which means only one thing, more pennies to spend on xmas stuff!

my baker ross catalogue came today and theyre is loads of things i want to get to craft with the kids. the only problem is the quantitys you have to buy them in! so think ill have to ask my friends if they want to put any money towards an order and we will split the crafts between us.

need help here. for my movie hampers im after some of them beakers what are like the cups and straws you get at macdonalds only plastic. i cant think what they are called, so cant do a search. the kids are aged 10, 12 and 15 so nothing babyish. need it to be as cheap as possible, any ideas where to find them?

I found this online, never tried them but the ones at the top are Snowman ones so Xmas themed? I never looked at the price but if you google plastic cups with lids uk I'm sure other sites will come up. I was thinking of cups like that as well for Movie Hampers but hadn't got round to looking til I saw your post. I got cheap Dvds in HMV and my local Tesco has a massive area dedicated to cheap Dvds, I'm only spending a couple of quid on dvds and adding popcorn , sweets and juice. Mega tight budget this year so the less I spend the better.

  • bubblegumcola thanks for that. those are exactly the style im after. but they are only toddler sized (ive been looking at them 2day in the catalogue) and i was wanting a bigger one but without a xmas theme so they can use them all year round. theyre so hard to find!

ive set a budget of £20 per movie hamper, but im hoping to get this down! i got the dvds from morrisons and sainsurys. i did say £10 each for dvds and have spent the full amount on my nephew who has 5. £9 on niece, has 4 and £8 on brother has 4. so really happy with that
the baskets i just got cheap plastic things £1.50 for 2 in wilkinsons, so only 75p each. i also got big bags of rainbow drops 4 for £1 in morrisons. and im waiting for some stripy popcorn bags to come from ebay 10 for £2.60 including delivery.

so that leaves me to get popcorn, boyes have 2 big tubs of butterkist for £3, so mite get these and then we'll have 1 spare for us.
hoping to find these cups and then ill add a couple of small bottles of cola.
and i think that will be it!

so should have these 3 crossed off the list next week!
    im quite proud of myself!
  • got 2 clear storage boxes (with lids) in Wilkinson to use as hampers, they can then re-use them. have tried one out...think I should have got the next size up.
