Thought you'd like to see a piccy of my strawberry hamocks. Made from plastic netting that oranges come in, moss from a wall, a bit of compost and a strawberry plant. Safe from any Ninja slugs that might be around and very mse!0

Hi all
I was out enjoying a bit of a clear up in the soggy back garden today and was thinking of all of you, wondering if you had managed to get outside yet this year and what your hopes and dreams are for this coming season - a little bit of warmth is all I'd ask for right now.
So much to do in my back and front gardens but for now I'm trying to just tidy up the dead perennial stuff which is going soggy. Hoping to get a chance to empty one of the darleks this week which has some goodies in it and then can start to be refilled.

Lawn is going to be a huge challenge for me this year, half of it is almost entirely moss. It doesn't need to look all posh but we do use it for playing badminton and DS3 high jump so we do need it.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Fear I will have to buy some bags of composted stable manure for my vegetable patch & borders this spring. I dug out my compost heap last autumn and spread it around but all the winter rains and snow will have leached out any goodness. Next year I won't spread it until just before digging in and sowing time to avoid the problem happening again.0

I've been to Wisley today so full of GUAG. Bought 3 packets of flower seeds but I'll hold of planting them for a bit yet.
Friend gave me a lovely salad leaf planter set for my birthday this week too.
Plan tomorrow is to do as much tidying in the back garden as possible and get DH to help me empty the compost bin ready for spreading.
I think I should have pruned my grapevine and currants/gosgogs so need to get the prunning book out to see if they can be done. Wisley were in the middle of apple tree pruning. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
