Fair Elephant - brilliant news! My fingers are well and truly crossed!

Not much happening here as I'm so busy at work. Two weeks to go until the end of term though. :j :j I've met my class for next year and they're lovely. Really super. I've had a really tough class this year and so I think that I deserve next year's class!

We're going to a family (DH's side) barbecue tomorrow. It's at SIL's house and we have been tasked with taking our barbie and a potato salad. I found a lovely sounding recipe on the BBC Good Food website. They're having 16 people over, so I've got 2kg/4lbs of potatoes but suspect I won't need to use all of them. Then again......

I've got a swap to parcel up from Readitswapit which means that most of our holiday reading is sorted!

Right, DH is on his way home from work so I'd better get a move on and start to do supper.

    Take care all

    Hi

Andy Murray just lost  .
Well, I didn't do as much as I wanted but did manage three lots of washing, made a loaf of bread, tidied the wardrobe and threw out some old clothes, did some grocery shopping and filed quite a bit of paperwork. I also managed to sort the insurance claim for DD1's stolen camera which I thought was going to be tricky as she forgot to bring the police report back from Kos. So, not a bad day really

    FE - fantastic news :j:j

have a good evening everyone, will try to catch up on the rest of the thread later.

Hello everybody...can't believe I'm so late....was shopping this am and helping DD4 to decide what to keep and what to dump in her big clear up prior to moving out in four weeks....she and DGS2 are off to Sardinia on Monday for a week and she has another interview when she comes back so will be a busy month....especially as DD2 and her girls are coming on 14th, DGD2 is coming from Cork for a few days that week and we have friends coming for 2 nights on 16th....means that I have to clean the whole b***dy house before then!

We had rain overnight, it is windy but still warm....forecast has rain with sunny spells as far as the eye can see....if the rain just comes at night it will be very acceptable.

Dinner to-night was pasta from freezer, warmed in oven, so very easy, turned out nice too, we had raspberries from the garden with ice cream for pudding....I love raspberries.

We are overrun with greens....cabbage, bokchoi and turnip greens at present, so to-day has been the first day this week we didn't have any...but will be back to normal to-morrow, need to pick lots of broad beans too.

Going to have an early night to-night as I want to do some reading and want to get up early to-morrow to get to farmer's market for some nice potatoes.

Fairy Elephant.....so pleased to hear your news, will be putting you on my prayer list....which might not help any but we can hope....take care of you.

Hugs to all who are in need or want, congratulations to Taplady's DS1 and Julie's OH and anyone else I've missed.
