    Hi Everyone

F/E - will keep everything crossed for you too.

DS's 2nd F2F interview went well he believes, they asked about holidays booked and notice periods, so still have everything crossed.

Had a thunderstorm last night, so instead of going on a tour of the war/battle sites of be Bocage, we sat in an awning playing 60's Music Trivial Pursuit. Just the right era for a 61 yo - 3-60 yo's a 59 yo, and the baby - me :rotfl::rotfl:

Pen-Pin hope you are feeling a little better

:grouphug: to all who'd like one, :hello: to any newbies/lurkers and  to everyone else.

    Off to watch the tennis
    Take care - DG

    Afternoon all.

Had a real fright this morning - was in he bath, minding my own business, and all of a sudden there was an almighty clap of thunder. I must've leapt about 3 feet in the air (maybe I should've taken the opportunity to get out of the bath unaided?? LOL).

Racking my brain (such as it is) to try and think what to do for dins tonight. It's still 'orribly hot and muggy, but we've run out of salad stuff.

Hopefully I can get Mr LW to help me catch up with the household filing tonight; there's a load of stuff on the floor in front of the bookcase with files in so I need help to get to it; also his personal box is getting very untidy, so i need to sit him down to tidy it - otherwise, when he wants a particular document, he has to troll through a whole pile of carp to find it.

Busy weekend - we have to get the car it's 25000 mile service tomorrow mornng, then a quick visit to Northampton town centre and on the a Mensa do at the Holiday Inn near J18 on the M1.

Sunday we have to get to the farmers market really early, as we're due at the Anglian Wolf Society for their open day at 10:00. Once back from that, I have to make bread rolls for Mr LW's lunchbox next week.

Just hope I have enough energy to last out!

((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today, and paws firmly crossed for FE.

Hi all, bucketing down here all morning - I got soaked when I went to town,my brolly is past its best, puddles every where and I had sandals on as it is still warm,so I got changed when I got back.I called in Holland and Barretts to get more seeds for my multi grain bread, more hayfever meds for the lads, and got a couple of summery(M&S) skirts from BHF charity shop.I was umming and ahing over one and a lady said how gorgeous it was,and she would have it if it fitted her so she convinced me.Bet she was a 'plant' to persuade customers to buy more...:rotfl:Quite pleased though-can't justify spending £40 on a skirt these days, not that I ever did,but saw some in Marks when I was browsing this morning that I liked (and checking whether 2 dine for 10 was on)

Called at the library to return my books, got a good crop to bring home-should keep me quiet for a bit.I also reserved Kate Mosse's Sepulchre, nearly bought it at the airport when we went to Carcassonne the other week,as s.o. said it was set there and was good, but it was a bit thick for my hand luggage.

Better get on with some ironing this aft as its a bit cooler-now have 2 baskets.Got some reduced steak mince at T yesterday, thinking I could make burgers or meatballs, but seem to recall a recipe in the new Good Food mag for white chilli that I could do.I dont think it had tomatoes in so would be ok for DS2.Have a good day/weekend folks.
FE-I hope with all my heart the pregnancy works out for you this time.I had 3 miscarriages before DS1 so know the feeling of not getting too excited .This was a long time ago and they didnt do scans till 3 months then,so its good you'll get one soon.Take care of yourself hun.Hugs.

    Hi everyone,

Had to pop on to say congratulations to FE - I hope everything continues to go well.

Like a lot of people this week I've noticed my grocery bill seems to have shot up recently so I need to get to grips with it this weekend. I've got lots in the freezer so I just need to mealplan properly, I've fallen by the wayside recently with having to visit dad in hospital and not feeling well myself. Lots of dizzy spells so I finally went to the doc's today and it turns out I've got labyrinthitis. Hopefully the tablets he's given me will help.

Need to send DH into the loft this weekend to dig out the summer weight quilt, not that we've been able to bear even a sheet over us this week!

Good news is that the hospital are finally sending dad home even though he's like a skeleton and isn't eating because they think he'll eat at home, which is probably true, he hates the hospital food with a passion.

Hugs to everyone in need especially Pen pin and Halight.

Just had a mad 1/2 hr, sorted kitchen mopped floor, vanished foamed the hallway carpet and part of FR. Wiped sofa's over after moving mounds of washing upstairs, hoovered stairs. Fitted waterproof sheet on DD2's bed no nappies at night from tonight :T.

Recieved Deed poll paperwork through today for DD1 :j:D:D:D:T
