Miele or Dyson DC 25
Comments

We have had a Hoover and currently have a Dyson. They are pure marketing hype IMO! We are changing to a Miele or Sebo. It's lasted 10 years but honestly is nothing special in terms of its performance. All our friends have gradually moved to Miele.0

Our Meile cat and dog has withstood 13 years of Dalmatian hairs (anyone who has owned a Dalmatian will know you need industrial suction!!) and has survived to tell the tale. Still in great working order. We use approximately 2 boxes of bags per year. Would definitely have another.0

How good are the generic bags? You can get them for a couple of quid a go. Anyone using them?0

Hi
In Germany they mainly have hard floors in their homes, so no problem. If you buy the Miele Solution vacuum it comes with a horse hair brush especially for hard floors or you can purchase it seperately with any other Miele cleaner. 1800w will be more than adequate.
Hope this helps0 -
the cylinder miele is fine for hard floors.upright hoovers tend to be better on carpet.:hello: :j0

I'm on my third dyson - first was second hand and my ex took it when we split! Second lasted 6 years but I used it for vacuuming up rubble and plaster dust so its been relegated to those sort of jobs now and the third is fab!People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

im also on my 3rd dyson but i think its time for change now - yet another hose has split - and the reviews on miele are convincing me. DH says if i get a cylinder then he refuses to use it as its harder work (i did wonder about this) but Ill keep the old dyson just for him0
