Miele or Dyson DC 25
Comments
-
I'm on my third Dyson.
The first twi didn't conk out, I just wanted a better model.
The first one I gave to BIL, the second one DH has in the shed for car cleaning.
Got a DC25 now.
Still getting used to it.
Much lighter than the DC07 it replaced, feels flimser, but its suposed to be more manoverable & I guess it wouldn't if it was as heavy.
Dyson for me evertime.0 -
I have a Miele and used to have a Dyson. The Dyson died after quite a few years use and tbh i would pick the Dyson over the miele
The miele is very good but does lose suction quickly, i find you can only use the official bags as the cheaper ones do not work anywhere near as well. It has been a few years with the miele but i remember that when we got it after the Dyson had failed i was a little disappointed with its performance.0 -
Well these are all the domestic ones - you can look at each. I have an X something - Ive no doubt they have moved on a bit in 10 years
If you go to the site you can see video clips of them being used too. But why dont you ring them and ask their advice, they are always very helpful when I buy bags and stuff from them

Read the testimonials about each model to give you an idea what people found them good at.0 -
There's an excellent demo on youtube as well from govacuum. Have ordered the X4 extra. Which doesn't rate it too highly, but they have 6 customer reviews all disagreeing with them! And given all the other excellent reviews would seem to be a good choice. Sebo's are also found to be most reliable uprights on Which. (sounds like its all I read! Sorry!)
Anyway - here's hoping!0 -
We ahev had a dyson and now have a Miele, have not looked back!
Life's way too short!

I just went down to check mine, its an X4 extra. But as I say thats 10 years old so they may have different ones now.
OH, just seen you have ordered one! Did you get it through quidco from John Lewis or somewhere so you got cash back?0 -
Hi - got it from John Lewis - though not via quidco (what is this?) - guess I could have saved some money!
I'm happy with it, by the way - carpets haven't looked so good in ages! No problems with different floor surfaces or anything either. And as its much smaller than the miele, and lighter, I'm finding it much easier to use.
Only problem is I can't stop vacuuming now!! ha ha0 -
Oh candle, you MUST join quidco.com - just google it, sign up and whenever you buy stuff on the net, once you have the best price for it, go to quidco.com, log in, check to see if they have that merchant, click on the link to the merchant, buy your stuff as normal and you will receive cash back in your account. Ive had nearly £900 cashback in 3 years.0

Job done! How could anyone seriously consider a Dyson after that!0
