Nice one thanks. I have been the same everytime any one has said they have been going, I havent had a holiday of any sort since Vegas last Oct so I am very very excited! At least we havent got long to wait now :)

Just got the task of sorting insurance out now which I imagine we will be getting stung on now since the swine flu and needing pandemic cover.

anyone know anywhere good and relatively close (walking) to mgm grand to stock up on water/diet coke etc for the room when we get there?

The closest place is the Grand Canyon Experience which is right next door to the MGM. If you come out the door at the West Wing Bar their back door is right in front of you. They sell souvenirs as well as water, Coke and beer. Don't think they do spirits.

Much closer than CVS or Walgreens.

You should really take out insurance as soon as the flights are booked. If anything happened and you had to cancel you would lose everything if you hadn't taken out insurance.

We've already got travel insurance from last year as we buy yearly due to us usually having 2 or 3 hols a year but it runs out about 2/3 weeks before we go out sods law isnt it! I imagine that we will just renew the policy anyway unless we can get a lot cheaper elswhere but hubby says these have been the cheapest for us for the last few years. I bet a lot a people dont think about that though its the sort of thing I wouldnt think about if it wernt for the sensible hubby haha. :)

I noticed the Grand Canyon shop last year but didnt pay much attention to it, never thought for a min that it would sell pop and booze that will be brill couldnt get much closer! Thanks a lot

I thought the GCE would be much more expensive, but I checked the prices and they were the same as CVS for the likes of Coke and much more convenient.

After the revelation that Four Seasons charge for for car parking I emailed the hotel and said that if this was the case after me spending $1200+ to stay in their hotel then I would cancel my booking and give my business to Wynn (bit of a bluff because I had to pay in full in advance for the room) Got an email back saying that they would waive the fee and would like to upgrade my room FOC as gesture of goodwill to "our valued U.K. visitors". Very nice chap I thought!!
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I don't know - it's just called CVS. :) It's kind of like Boots and a competitor to Walgreens.

OK, I had to look it up because now I wondered - Consumer Value Store...but the sign just has the initials.
I knew it was only a matter of minutes before you HAD to know, we just sit back and wait for you to find out:T

CVS actually sell Boots products. I bought some Protect & Perfect when you couldn't get it in the UK and the assistant handed me a huge tub of body butter and told me it was free for buying a product!
