What about through your hotel? if you ask for a limo pick-up just wondering their charge, nothing to lose

Exactly what I was coming back to suggest - read on openvegas a few months ago that it can be less than booking a limo direct - gets charged to your room, so potential to use Total Rewards credits to pay for it too.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Great suggestion, will email them now.:T
    Edit
All booked, thanks guys and girls. $40 put on the room plus about $8 tip.Really looking forward to not having to lug the bags on and off of the shuttle bus, and then into the car. Usually takes at least an hour from leaving the airport to getting to our hotel, should only take about 15-20 minutes now. Will check out
Hertz at Paris, trouble is when ever I look at U.S. sites I have no idea of what the final charge will be, what with all the insurances, charges, taxes, etc to be added.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I think Hertz is one that if you say you reside outside the US it tacks on all the insurances to make it fully inclusive...at least it used to be that way for everyone other than Dollar.

I'm visiting Vegas for one night only (On a road trip across to San Francisco) and most of the good hotel deals are for a 2 night minimum - Can anybody recommend a decent deal for one night in Vegas? Its a Friday night in October

    Thanks

Sad thing is , my brother and SIL think that is the way to go. Neither of them want to share the driving, but if they are paying part of the car hire, they expect me to drive them around to wherever they want. Tony and I disagree. (In a big way!)
    Your opinions are very welcome.
I don't want to be a Taxi driver.

This is probably better in the 'family and relationships section', but.....

It seems that you really don't need a car. Tell them it's an unnecessary expense and you'd rather spend the cash on something else. Tell them that if they wish to hire the car AND drive it, then you'll be happy to contribute to the costs.

Alternatively you could give in a bit and drive for 1 week rather than 2.

Personally it sounds like a recipe for a bad holiday. Any chance of dumping your bro and sil and just going with your mum?

I am looking at a safe way of converting my sterling to dollars and have been checking out the FairFx card.

Has anybody had any experience of using this card, how do you check the balance whilst you are away do you need to logon to their site?

Following on from tully's question....how do most of you take your money to Vegas?
debit cards and draw your cash from atms?...take sterling and change it there?....change sterling to dollars here?
do you get a good exchange rate when drawing money out of atms?

or do you just take $100 and rely on a good win at the tables :-)

Vegas......change sterling to dollars here, using Crown (free delivery) or Thomas Exchange Group (£5 delivery) if time, and Travelex pricematch to those two for airport pickup. Dont use ATMs there......always charge you, plus poor rate. Also dont use credit cards......use your cash. Any decent hotel there has a roomsafe.
