October , NovemberBecause I know some of you are as keen as I am to find comfortable Vegas shoes, thought some might be interested in these.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Crocs-Womens-Alice-Peacock-10056-420-045/dp/B001AYNFW0/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=shoes&qid=1262200045&sr=8-7
I've heard all about Crocs for ages and how terribly comfortable they are but having big feet, it's really hard for me to put them in big, ugly shoes no matter how comfortable they may be (I'd love some Uggs, but no way can I justify putting my boats in them).
I bought the purple ones for £10 (the red ones are also £10, but being a big fan of purple I could not resist) and they came today - really very comfy and really not Crocs looking at all...we shall see if they stand the test of Vegas but early signs are good.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
December ( including Xmas and New Year )as long as you are wearing socks you should be fine...otherwise your feet tend to sweat in them and could end up with blisters.0

October , Novemberthanks penny - that was one of my concerns about plastic shoes - I wasn't sure how they would work in a particularly warm climate.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

SeptemberI have normal Crocs and my feet don't sweat in them. I think you'll be fine without socks. I believe you can get sweaty feet in the cheap imitation ones.0

ferf, i was really supprised with mgm, really realy liked it as a casino
in particular very good for south end of strip (bodies, lion king, titanic) and the rooms supprised me how big they were. Also pool complex i felt was best in vegas.
Cant comment on the casino that much as did most of my playing elsewhere0 -
October , NovemberThanks for the info on MGM...and thanks again to Luci for posting the deal - we went ahead and booked the first 3 nights in a CCS...and we'll think about what we want to do closer to the time - won't cancel anything else yet...my biggest fear is that the place is so big - when we stayed at Caesars it was just too big...MGM is bigger...but it's only for 3 nights, and the first 3 at that...and will be nice to at least try it out I think. And my husband has pointed out to me that if we stay there, every morning I can go down and see the lions - so this made me happy.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

Septemberferf, rather than schlepping through the casino every time you want to go to the strip, if you go through the West Wing Bar it takes you out at the back of the Grand Canyon Experience and knocks 5 mins off the journey. The WW bar is also near the lions.0

December ( including Xmas and New Year )Going back to walking and sweaty feet
I've mentioned it before, but i'll say it again.
If you do suffer blisters when walking on holiday, put some cream deodorant on your feet & between your toes before putting on socks/shoes in the morning. Something like this http://www.ocado.com/webshop/product/Dove-Cream-Deodorant/14212011?parentContainer=%7C21520%7C21552%7C21558
If your feet dont sweat, you wont get blisters. Works everytime :T

January , FebruaryFirst time posting hear, I feel I have been reading this forever.
I am taking my son to Vegas on Saturday as his 21st birthday treat.
He loves poker and I want to organise so he can play . We are staying in the MGM, do we just turn up at the poker rooms and wait for a space , or does he need to book.
Are there any recommendations for him to play poker
Thanks in advance for the helpful replies I am sure you will give me0 -
