October , NovemberThe free internet is a major bonus as I always pay for it daily anyway.
That is a very good point...so I could deduct about $40 from the price for 3 nights for savings on internet usage at Paris.
Have thought of another option- book MGM first 3 nights, move to our known home of Bally's where we know the room will at least be big for the last 5...and leave trying Paris for another time...Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
SeptemberWow,
Just picked up some really cheap flights LGW-ATL-LAS with Delta in September, £380 each!! via net-flights, good times as well. Deltas own site worked out over £100 each more expensive. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
AprilVirgin for Sept 21st coming out at £458.80 with Miles plus money....direct flight
Net flights with Delta from same airport(LGW) £432 and that's with a stop over at JFK
think it will be Virgin for us again....hoping the price will come down a bit though:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0 -
AprilStoneman what date in Sept was your cheap flight as we are flexible and that would be almost £100 each off:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0

AprilCan I ask a question about miles plus money with Virgin....
If you use M+M to purchase flight tickets do you then earn M+M points for that trip:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0 -
October , NovemberLorraine - you're not supposed to earn miles on flights where you used a M+M fare. At one point it was possible to get miles, but not sure if they have closed that loophole or not.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

"No Virgin Atlantic Flying Club miles and tier points will be earned on Miles Plus Money fares."
I'm debating on whether to spend the extra £s to go with BA at the start of Sept next year or whether to risk Virgin.
I didn't mind the changes we did in SFO and LAX this year, but it added another 3 or 4 hours onto the journey; that's 3 or 4 hours less Vegas time for me! Have been tracking prices for the last month with a view to booking soon, this trip will be our 'honeymoon' (in the loosest sense), and I want to get it booked! (itchy feet wanting to get back to Vegas!)0 -

Its possible to get an early flight with United via Chicago that gets in to Vegas just after one pm which is before the Virgin flight. I did this in Sept. Last year I went with AA and did the same thing arriving around 2pm.0 -
AprilThanks for your replies
I have 1724 miles...if I buy 2 tickets M+M I'll need 4,000
so if I buy miles with the offer on at the moment it will cost me £45 for 2,000 with a bonus of 300....so for £45 I'll end up with 4,024.....
2 normal priced tickets would cost £516.80 each =£1033.60
2 M+M tickets @ £458.80 each = £ 917.60 a difference of £116 minus the £45 spent to buy the extra miles a saving of £71....WOW what a saving......not:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0
