January , FebruaryThanks guys, i have pretty much narrowed it down to MGM Grande or the Wynn, those rooms are available at the Resort and Encoure.
How likely are they to check that you have a child staying with you, as the Wynn seems the nicest option. I need to email them on stroller conformation as we will now be bring his and need it to be of use in the hotel. Im a rubbish mother, fancy thinking that my poor boy would want to walk all that way.
To stay at the MGM is $200 less, will i still have a good stay in the hotel or is Wynn worth the extra?
Who do you guys book your rentals through?
Thanks for the Mon Abi Gabi recommendation, i will look it up.

I haven't stayed at MGM, and it does perhaps have its advantages - but I would look at it as $20 extra per adult per night to stay at a fairly amazing property. Not sure what others think, but I'd imagine to stay at that sort of property in the UK (ignoring the size of the property of course, just really the quality rooms and overall experience of the property) you're looking at £200-£300/night in the UK, certainly in London.
I'm pretty sure that gets can get a tag for their strollers - I am sure I have read that somewhere.
Oh, and if Encore is the same price as Wynn, I'd go with that option as it's newer and the rooms are amazing.
There are some pics of our room at Encore here in the MSE group:

Personally I love Wynn/Encore, imo its well worth the extra money but i guess you have to work out what would work best for you. With a young child i'd think MGM would be a better option, in terms of nearby attractions and restaurants etc that would be suitable for your little one. The problem with W/E in your situation is that its not really geared towards accommodating kids. Hotel guests can have a buggy in the hotel (they give you a label thing to attach to it), non guests can't so that will give you an idea about how child orientated it is.
For your wedding meal my suggestion would be Olives at Bellagio, sitting on the patio overlooking the fountains. MAG is a nice option too, i love the food there but the view isn't the best imo. Its great for people watching though.
For car rental we've used and would recommend:

And finally congratulations and good luck with your wedding. Your trip sounds amazing, and i hope you all have a wonderful time.:D:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -

why not call them up and ask them about this , they might not charge anything for your child .
For car hire rentals you cannot wrong with Carhire 3000 . they will price match any similar quote .Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
January , FebruaryIm going to contact them and ask on the child parts.
If it was not our wedding and we were not flying off for 15 weeks on a family holiday, i would not take my little boy. We are lucky that we have some very willing babysitters coming with us, in my folks.
That way we get lovely family time all together, and then we get night time play time with our son in very safe hands tucked up in bed.
New question, sorry im on a roll now. We are planning on flying down to LA on day 5 (friday)evening at the moment to have a day there before our late night sunday flight to the Cook Islands. Do you think we are better sticking in Vegas and then flying down sat and just do the one night in Airport hotel? The only other option is that we fly down sunday and have half a day before getting straight onto the cooks flight?
So confusing, so thanks for all your input its so appreciated.0 -

Too much for staying south strip
I agree this is expensive, but considering Mandaly Bay and THE Hotel are both more expensive than NYNY and pretty much at the end of the South end i don't really understand your comment.
And i might add, Mandalay Bay is my favourite hotel on the strip. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

But if you fancy doing Disney / Universal Studios then it's worth the extra night.
You thought of hiring a mini-van and driving from Vegas to LA? It's only about 4 hours drive and will save $$ on so many plane fares. (money to spend on Disney?)

SeptemberMGM is a good hotel too. I really like their Grand Tower rooms and definitely wouldn't "upgrade" to a West Wing room as they are much smaller. However it took us 15 mins to walk from the back of the hotel to the front and onto the strip so that will give you an idea of the size of the place.
For such a special occasion as your wedding I would go with Wynn or Encore. As ferf said, Encore is much newer only having opened last December. Wynn opened in April 2005.0 -
