Well got back from Vegas yesterday and had a GREAT time!!

Got some dollars left over, $610 odd and wondered if im allowed to offer to sell them to someone of the forum as post office/high street is offering a very poor rate back to sterling.

I have been asked at work to present a paper at a conference in Las Vegas. There were no premium economy seats left on my outbound direct flight to LV and even for business travel it was hard to justify £4280 club class one-way. The week after my visit to LV I have to visit a customer in Florida. So the cheapest way of travelling was to fly in and out of the same US gateway - in my case Houston. So my flights are LHR-Houston-LV then LV-Florida, Florida-Houston-LHR. Even if it is the company's money I still believe I should save money.

If you stay Saturday night, the prices approximately halve. Try Virgin UC to Vegas, stay and play for a few days, take an internal to Florida, then fly back VS UC from Miami or Orlando. As well as the VS site, try people like Trailfinders, Flightbookers etc and they people who advertise flight deals in the newspapers. DOnt see why the flights should be much for than a couple of grand in total.

Youll probably find secure/insured posting will lose the rate advantage on such a small amount, and then what if its short etc.

IMHO the OP wants someone local to him to take them off his hands.....eg I'm in Herts, so if he is nearby, happy to split the difference on the dollar buy/sell rate.

And if youre a member of VS Flying Club, get £200 John Lewis vouchers with an UC return. And if not, get referred by me or anyone else on this forum for an extra 3000 miles than without a referral.
